Forums - Gaming - The History of Polygon - The Worst Gaming Journalists Around

Fuck Polygon. I hope they get shut down and all those assholes lose their jobs.
They are the scum of this earth and of the gaming community.

Read the reviews between TLOU, TR and Ryse. Its all from Phil Kollins on Polygon.

TR - 9
TLOU - 7.5
Ryse - 6

His complaints on TLOU are really really mind boggling when compared to how forgiving the other two reviews are (despite Ryse even scoring lower, you'd think the game should be scored 4-5 and TR should be a 7 going by his standards).

I can explain this easily, because there's evidence to my point: Phillip Kollar is heavily biased toward traditional action/adventure games. His prior review work for GameInformer also reflects this.

I'm not seeing it Polygon really doesn't seem biased to me. Sure they have reviewed a few big name games lower then most sites, but saying they are payed off is awfully sensationalist. Remember, reviews are opinions. Its not like every site has a machine that objectively determines the quality of a game.

Whether they are biased or not I have no idea, nor do I care. But they are a pretty rubbish publication.

Microsoft basically kickstarted the site. Search it up.

Honestly is hard to believe otherwise. Of course one may choose to be naive and believe on the integrity of the gaming media as a whole.

That's irrelevent to me though. They have given poor reviews to plent of Microsoft products. I am failing to see the ramifications of this.

People need to be Nintendo fan sometimes

Overwhelming exception and supressed correlative fallacies. You seem to be placing more value on your own perception of the whole event than on argumenting and arguing over the data presented.
