Wait, what? I'm pretty sure I've gotten "you've been disconnected from the network/PSN" WHILE playing Resogun because I was running the "test connection setup" feature and it never kicked me off.

I'll go home and try this again and if it is true, then it is an extremely stupid move my Sony and I hope they catch enough hell for this as they deserve.

Do you connect via wifi or by cable?  I only have a cable so I was going to actually fully unplug it when I get home just to be absolutely certain.  


I use an ethernet cable,   For the sake of trying everything I tested it again with the cable unplugged.   This time i didnt get the prompts to update, it just let me go straight into the game.   and when i move to the top of the UI where it gives you PSN options, instead of saying connect to PSN it says connect to internet.

Resogun still played

Wtf? That's stupid. Sony must be insane thinking that's a good move to make. Most likely the same for the Xbone as well.

I suppose that is only when you log into PSN from another PS4 then your own to play your games

Considering that a million people have bought a ps4 and noone complaining until now(i a heaten up next gen release time) your guess

should be accurate.

yeah I'm home and I can play Resogun and Sound Shapes with the ethernet cable completely unplugged. Do you want to rework this thread or should we just lock it?
