Forums - Microsoft - Phil Spencer "Too many game announcements for next E3, needs spacing out"

"But I look at the next 18 to 24 months, and really on a month by month basis, you're going to have something you can go out and play," he said. "It's not really a portfolio plan that way, but when I look at the way the portfolio is laying out ... I think people are going to be happy with the lineup that's coming. And I haven't even mentioned when Halo is coming or some of the big mega franchises."

Instead, look toward Spike's VGX awards presentation, airing Dec. 7, where Spencer said, "We'll have some things to say there." From there, next year's Game Developers Conference and E3 will likely be where the majority of Xbox One announcements will hit.

"We've got a lot of news," Spencer said. "Frankly, we've got enough news that our E3 would be a little overloaded if we kept everything for that. We're being real thoughtful about the news that people want to hear and also the right time to announce games so that we're not too early."

That's great, if they keep E3 all about the games like last time I'll be happy.

Looking forward to the future announcements

Hype rising but still under control for now

He's basicaly saying "We used all the cards we had at E3 to try calm down the rage of the internet"

This is what happens when you don't have strong first parties.....

He most likely means 'Publishers' in general will have too many announcements. Since MS will spend most of E3 showing off all of their partners new products, they are going to have to be creative in how to showcase theirs. Don't forget, MS's new slogan is 'why create your own content when you can just pay a publisher to do it for you'

They had tons of game announcements last year, but nobody cared because of all the DRM stuff. Should be easier for them now that they don't have so much negative stigma.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

That's what I like reading! This sort of talks encourages a person to pick up a system. I look forward to those announcements.

Killer Instinct, Quantum Break, Project Spark, Black Tusk, Halo 5, Kinect Sports Rivals, Fable Legends, Crimson Dragon, Ryse, Forza 5, Loco and Max all being 1st party/2nd Party ...

Ignoring Titanfall, Peggle 2, Garden Warfare, D4, Below, Dead Rising 3, Fantasia ect from third parties/indies ...

Their E3 conference was back to back exclusives.

He specifically talks about first party too.
