I don't mind be called a liar if it makes you feel better. I'm personally not gonna buy any games this gen if they aren't 1080p.

That I would ever read something like that. Deciding which game to buy because of the resolution and not because of the gameplay or story. You really think you will have awesome fun with a 1080p game but if it would be 900p you wouldn't touch it because it would reduce your fun? woah!

I mean, some games look like shit and some awesome with the same resolution. So even if graphics are so important to you it would be easily possible that a 900p game (like Battlefield) looks better as a 1080p game (like cod)

I will be honest with you - I can't see any improvements.

So, did you click the links and then use zoom to put the image larger, and after all of this, you still don't see any improvements???

yes.

And I go even further: Everybody who claims that he would notice any differences during gameplay is a LIAR

Are we still lying?

And it woul be more noticeable during gameplay because of the native resolution and no compression.

You have your preferences. I have mine. I'm thinking I won't miss out on much.

Then the patch would be smaller. Code is never near 140mb.

That was my biggest complain with PS3 patches... they instead to make a binary comparision patch (that just create the difference between two binaries to be applyed) they sent every binary file changed (so all the files changed are sent into the patch).

So I guess the PS4 uses this bad way to patches games yet

You change one line in the code and you need to replace the full binary file... so I think the patch have a lot of files changed.

well, you will obviously play only 1080p games as ps4 only owner (maybe also pc) if the games will be all 1080p so that it is easy to say that. would be more interesting to see if you really find it so important if half of the ps4 games wouldn't be 1080p.

did you also only play 720p games this gen? i mean if 900p is alreay to low for you from now on, you surely used the same logic between 720p and lower resolutions with ps3 games? if not it would be interesting to know how the importance of resolution changed so much that even 900p isn't acceptable anymore if sub 720p was good enough this gen.

PC gamer first. PS4/V second. I'll get the bone down the line when I can afford it and there is more 1080p games. Hopefully Halo 5 is. And I would find it of the same importance even if the situation was reversed. I wouldn't buy a PS4 until I knew for sure more games would be 1080p.

Yeah think I bought 1 sub 720p game in the first few years when I only had a 720p TV. Regretted that. The PS3 is still hooked up to that TV for that reason alone. It's not even resolution that bothers me. It is the stretching. If a 900p had a black line on the side and bottom I would find that preferable.

Yeah that's what I heard about the patch system. There were also some GAF threads about it. That's what I liked about 360: cumulative and differential patches!
