Forums - Gaming - Xboxers Bashing PS4 For Reliability Issues Is Comically Ironic

nothing of these is comic, what happened to the XBOX 360 and now PS4 (for the moment nothing critical) is nothing good. The video game industry is not in the position as to take that kind of hits. Imagine the average person buying a $400 product that brakes in just months, they will think twice before doing it again.
Some people are not buying the XBOX ONE because of the RROD, and instead ware getting PS4. Now, imagine if the PS4 suffers the same, no good at all. Only Nintendo to save the day? to much for them now that they face some problems.

Considering that people keep buying Xbox 360's there's no logic in your theory that people are not buying X1 because of RROD. It hasn't been a problem since 08-09.

Yes, ironic indeed. They defended 43% fail console, remember?

Who is this collective "we"?

I've actually seen very little of this, and I feel gutted for those it's happened to as it must be a pretty shit feeling.

100% believe if the tables were switched tho far more Sony 'fans' would be bragging ect. Seen that over the last 6 months.

Completely agree. I dont feel bad at all for Sony fans becuase they have been asking for it. Had they not bashed Wii U a0 nd X1 for every little thing they could, it would be different but no one is going to show them something, that they refuse to show other console owners.

I do feel bad for those with broken ones, but I dont understand why some Sony fans are taking it personally that people are actually having issues with the console.

Its like your insulting their mother to say your PS4 isnt working.

You cant buy that kind of loyalty

It has nothing to do with the people with broken consoles. It has everything to do with the Over-reaction we are seeing from a few media outlets like Kotaku who are trying to make it bigger than what it really is in some effort to tarnish the PS4's launch. Then there are the anti-hype brigade taking the FUD as if it were gospel spelling the destruction of the brand.

People with dead systems assuredly should be taken care of, its just not a wide spread issue or anything.

just 3 days has passed, 0.04% (according to SONY) of 1 million is 40k. That is something to be at the fence (not worries yet) but the frequency and similarities of the issues are very rare for a console. I am not saying spread the word, but at least wait and see what happen.

.04% is only 400 out of 1Million. It seems like a lot but in the grander scheme of things..........it really isnt. What we seem to be forgeting is almost every electronic maintains a certain failure rate throughout its entire life. Its normal as long as it remains under a certain percentage.

Its PS2 failure rate all over again. A few people tried make it seem like it was really bad simply because it was thousands. But it was only thousands out of millions (like 6% or something) of PS2's userbase. Not a big deal.

just so you guys know the .4% was before lauch we do not have a number since the ps4 launched.

i dont think anyone ever truly wishes a bad console on any one but its the internet where everything is blown up way beyond what it is i bet as soon as one x1 fails the internet will be flooded with rrod2 so if people really want it to stop then dont let the x1 fail blow up and prove that sony fans are better but it wont happen

It's definitely more than 400 that's for sure.

The thing is that this is just the 1st week. We have to wait until 2016-2017 to see the peak.

the lack of logic is on the people that keep buying it. Besides I said some people will not buy that console.

Yes, I made a mistake. Yoshida said it is 0.4%, that is 4k units. Still, I haven't heard of that many consoles broken in just three days. People is just ignoring those numbers, but it is getting up to a point that it is no more something to take as if nothing is happening.

Its a percentage.....what is to say it didn't stay the same? Its till only anecdotal cases that are being broadcast. Its their some website tallying a list of them or something? Or has Sony corrected that number?

Even if it were 1-2%(as from this forum's users) its still not that much in relative terms when speaking of over a million buyers.

There is a higher percentage of rat poop in your food, to put things in perspective......
