Forums - Gaming - Xboxers Bashing PS4 For Reliability Issues Is Comically Ironic

It's funny reading these threads...

Almost the exact opposite of last gen during RRoD... Sony Nation defensive on their console, Xbox fanboys going for the jugular!

Not like last gen at all.  RRoD was a huuuuuuuge, long term, terrible failure rate.  This is a relatively small deal.  if, a year down the line, PS4's have a 30+% failure rate, then I'll gladly accept the criticism with hubris.  Fact is, a 0.4% failure rate is in line with typical expectations of any electronic hardware launch.

Classic case of Mountains from Molehills.  about as clear-cut a case as there ever was.

That's what most XBox fanboys said in the early days of RRoD...

When 60% of consoles on the market that are sold have Red rings, its not being obnoxious.

Apparently because "Sony Fans"(which in reality it was just about everyone) pointed out huge flaws in the 360 such as RROD, and then XBO with the DRM policies that nitpicking the PS4 is justified.

Who actually didn't find huge issue with those two problems? You would be harder pressed to find a gamer who wasn't complaining, wasn't just Sony Gamers. Xbox 360 owners hated them just as much.

Pulling out random numbers means nothing. 60%, .4%; both are just unsupported numbers being spout out. The article is from some over sensitive PS fan. The problems from the PS1 and PS2 didn't stop PS fans from bashing the Xbox 360. Hypocrisy is the staple of fanboyism. Stop being so sensitive. If it is a major problem, we will know in time. If it isn't, we will know also.

No it wasn't just Sony gamers complaining about the DRM policies and such; however I didn't have any issue with the DRM policies. I like the idea they were going for with the family share plan.

...........

Maybe you didn't notice the studies/articles posted earlier that are dictating these numbers. Actual surveys and studies pointed to 360's rate. Sony has stated that there ratio is very low and the number complaints in comparison to how many they have available proves its very low.

And you are dilusional if you think your opinion of DRM policies on XBO was standard. Most hated it, Xbox fan or not. Look through some old threads and you will find gamers of all types raging about it. To say otherwise is just.....not truth. The only consolation going on at the time is that Sony would do the same so an XBO purchase would still be validated. When PS4 didn't have the same policies, shit hit the fan.

So you take a surveys numbers as gospel (Game Informer)and won't take the reviews? The surveys couldn't have come from fanboys? Just the reviews from Amazon? Capulous don't take those articles as truth of anything.

Studies, yea and surveys...all of which were scientific done apparently. Very valid argument. Sony states a number that may be based on complaints that were directed to them during a short time. It means nothing.  You have no idea how they gathered the numbers or what it is exactly based on. They may have thrown out a made up number for all you know. Like I said, time will tell if it was a serious issue or not.

Delusional? I said I didn't have a problem with it. There were more than a couple of users on this site that didn't have a problem with the DRM policies and everything that was planned with it.

The surveys are done by several different publications and credible sources. There is the personal experience I have witnessed of the situation. Then there is MS's reluctant admittance of at minimum of 23%. The truth is usually found somewhere between. 30% is the medium which still isn't flattering in the slightest.

Same can be said from the Amazon reviews. You have to take that info in, with the info of MS shills, the knowledge of how many PS4's are out in the wild, etc.

That is how I come to these conclusions. They aren't unreasonable.

Please stop with the MS shills. PS has them to. The RROD was hideous no doubt but no one has those numbers just guesses.

Sony might, but MS is well documented for having whole factories of them. I listed a few articles of MS being caught or ousted doing this sort of thing, specifically towards Sony no less.

Doing a study or getting concensus is not "guessing".
