Not like last gen at all.  RRoD was a huuuuuuuge, long term, terrible failure rate.  This is a relatively small deal.  if, a year down the line, PS4's have a 30+% failure rate, then I'll gladly accept the criticism with hubris.  Fact is, a 0.4% failure rate is in line with typical expectations of any electronic hardware launch. 

Classic case of Mountains from Molehills.  about as clear-cut a case as there ever was.
