Forums - Gaming - Knack is just fun, simple, and relaxing.

The op in my review indicates that "Knack" is much better than the reviews indicate that it is. It's probably one of those games that is going to have a lot of stones thrown at it and then in 10 years be listed by everyone as one of the best PS4 games.

Around the Network

I freely admit I enjoy platformers and Knack was my launch game. It is solid game that reminds me of PS2 era games with much improved graphics. It doe snot break the mold, but it does nothing wrong and I like visual indicator on my character as to life or damage. I would say if you enjoy the genre check it out, if you're not sure wait for a price drop and not a fan of the genre this won't change your mind.

I will say the co=op component is closer to Sonic and Tails than it is Mario and Luigi so keep that in mind if you are playing with a partner like I am.

Knack is a very solid game, a 7/10 in my book. Reviewers giving it 3/10 are insane (or more propably they took money from microsoft like polygon).

I am assuming that last bit was just ironic since that is so silly it´s laughable. Could you just focus on the issue in this thread instead of trying to downplay MS first chance you get?

Polygon is sponsored by Microsoft. Thats awhy they are giving Sony exclusives a very low scores. Like 7.5/10 for the Last of Us or 6 for Ni no Kumi.

Or sometimes a reviewer gives a game a lower score because, I don´t know, it´s their personal taste? MS doesn´t care if a reviewer gives a competitors games a high or low score. This mentality from some gamers that, just because their game gets a low score they are some kind of victim in a terrible plot against them, is just so silly. Play the games and don´t care if a reviewer doesn´t share your taste in the game. I can promise you, they are not payed of to too downgrade it :).

I just think that reviewers, just like journalists should not put in their personal taste. If they are serious media and serious reviewers like "metacritic", they obviously want to be taken serious, they should make the review impartial.

If I listen to a friend I want to hear his personal opinion, but not from a reviewer when the last thing he says is like

"This game gets a 3 for graphics, a 5 for story and a 4 for gameplay"

from what do you get that score, you cant just take that out of the air, you need to back that up, compare it to something.

IF ANY game that plays good and looks good and has good story, gets UNDER a 5, then this reviewer should not be reviewing games at all!

compare it to the worst newspaper you could have in your country. Opinions are good but please don't let it flow into your review.

I hope you understand what I want to say :)

(btw I preordered Knack because it looks just like the OP described !)
