why aren't you comparing it to PH, which was the first original Zelda on DS (same as ALBW for 3DS) and sold amazingly. instead you compare it to Spirit Tracks which is plagued by Second Zelda Syndrome

2 Reasons why.

1. ST has lower Sales lifetime and i wanted to see if it surpasses at least that to guarantee at least 3.2mil sales lifetime

2. (Main Reason) It wont be faif comparing LoZ PH cuz it released during summer and even though FW sales were i believe 160k in the US, the next couple of weeks were 50k,35k,25,etc. Its fair to compare the game to ST cuz ST released during holiday. So if i did wat you ask then it be in the OP 200k vs 517k, then next week (estimating ALBW #s) 230k vs 680k.

So no it'll be a misunderstanding to many cuz they will ignore the releases as this has happened many times before!

If you look in the op however i did put First Year sales so i will compare all 3 games that way!

Hope you get wat im saying

Two thoughts: Is that ONLY the US numbers you have in the OP? And if so, why?

My second thought is, why don't you compare ALBW with BOTH ST and PH?

As i stated to Kate, it wont be fair for US comparison First 10 weeks cuz sales were very very low. It wasnt released during holiday like ST+ALBW so thats why i compare those two!

Wrong lol

 Spirit Tracks= 331k vs ALBW= 517k

With Digital Sales ALBW is actually over 617k cuz on the eShop its ahead of a game in the US that has 100k in digital sales

Most likely another Pokemon X&Y situation - massively overtracked.

Yes, I'm sure it's overtracked by the 300k (over 50%) necessary to bring it below Spirit Tracks' numbers.

And to the fellas saying Spirit Tracks is the wrong game to look at, LBW is also tracking ahead of Phantom Hourglass. That's just not the comparison being made in this thread.

Ironically he always mentions overtracked with nintendo but wen sony news come in not once i hear the same excuse. Oh yea and aside from pokemon Sony games seem to get overtracked alot more here :P

Makes sense!

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

i forgot to mention if it doesn't beat ST then thats not a good sign, so its better to compare them anyway! Well these numbers dont include Digital but as i stated its over 100k in the US. I only know that due to it surpassing Fire Emblem
