This issue is that these games needs a good Japanese userbase to be profiable... I know they are locating the games for western now but more than 50% of the sale come from Japan.

And Xbox brand lacks that... so in a financial view a port for Xbox make more loss than profit.

Thats true, but the handheld sales f abyss 3ds seemed to show a interest that shouldn't be ignored in my opinion. Seems there being much to safe with the series on consoles though. They should try expanding not keeping the same range of fans that they had last gen if they ever want to reach higher sales.

I agree... these games have easy place on 3DS... I don't know why they seems to forget the most successful hardware in Japan right now.

I don't see why.  Like Sal says, it's going to be PS2 graphics on both PS3 and PS4, just different resolutions.  Might as well start migrating some of the audience across by doing a quick and cheap port.
