Forums - Nintendo - What do you want from Pokemon Z (Or Gen 6 sequel)??? <Spoiler Alert>

Spoiler Alert for those who haven't played Pokemon X and/or Y.

Okay, it's been a little over a month since X and Y have been released, and a lot of people have gotten it on this site and worldwide. I've put over 60 hours in Y and will start X in December. While X and Y (IMO) were amazing, it did have its flaws and I hope Nintendo and Game Freak listen and react as to when Z is released. (It's Nintendo; Pokémon Z is going to happen, or some kind of sequel. What do you want Nintendo to improve on for Gen 6 sequel?

1) Add more Legendaries to hunt: I loved Gen 4 in particular because there were a lot of legendaries to hunt after. Heatran, Darkrai, Arceus, Palkia/Dialga, Giratina, Creselia, Regigigas, (may have missed a few). But Gen 6 gave us, our story legendary, Mewtwo was right there, no exploration. Also, we could only get ONE bird legendary based on our starter... lame. And finally the Z legendary, whose name I forgot.

2) Team Flare: The story here was pretty standard for most Pokémon games except Gen 5, which to me had great storytelling. I understand Nintendo wanting to get away from the gloom in Gen 5, but I wish it had a stronger villain. Team Flare has got to be one of, if not, the worst Pokémon antagonists. What annoyed me mostly about them is they had the same damn Pokémon... Mighteyena, Gulpin, Scraggy, (forgetting a few others).

3) Overall, add more Post Game Content: It seemed like post game was mostly mega stone hunting, after you beat the Elite Four, the game pretty much ended. You had a few Legendaries, plus you could beat that Battle Arena, on that Resort Island. I'd love if they did what Emerald did and at some kind of "light" extra challenges, like the Battle Frontier. I'm not even asking for another Region. It seems Game Freak really dropped the ball on this aspect. Also, I don't even believe the Elite 4 gained any levels after you beat them. Making the grind for those last 20 levels more challenging than the game itself. Which leads me to my last point.

4) Include a Hard Mode: IMO gen 6 was the most casual entry into the series. It made sense to make it casual, but they didn't even include any form of a hard mode. Gen 5, B2/W2, had it so you beat the game and then you could send a Hard mode to another player. I would've liked them to add from the get go, but at least they added it. Ideally, I would have wanted a scalable difficulty, but I'd just take enemies with a higher levels.

*** These are my personal opinions. I know there are probably a lot of spelling/grammar mistakes, rushed to put this out. What do you want Ninty and Game Freak to add? Anything you want added, or removed?

Lock if re-posted.

We are getting more legendaries though DLC. There are three that were found in the game data, and an unconfirmed Latios/Latias (megaforms) entry.

Mega Togekiss.

Ask stefl1504 for a sig, even if you don't need one.

All I want is a Hoenn Region remake and I will be happy been hoping for one since Heartgold and SoulSilver came out. I loved the Hoenn Region. Though i wouldnt want it to look like x and y more like heartgold and soulsilver.

A game with framerate worthy of the logo NINTENDO. (not below 30 fps).

Seriously reduce the polycount or optimize the game. I mean gamefreak has an easy job. The game is basically the same every time. The artists to their artsy pokemon drawing and the devs have to optimize the game.

The gamplay is way to archaic (the ingame PC is still unintuitive and archaic with its box transfers etc. It just feels clumsy) etc.

I played RedBlue GoldSIlver and then 11 years later or so Black and the game felt archaic. All the annoying things in Red and Blue still were in Black and some of that is still in XY.

They streamline Mario Zelda and Metroid yet Pokemon is as "annoying" to play as always even if its still a great game. Its just counter intuitive. And there is tons of "what really still that stupid?"moments.

1) Make it all in 3D, without the frame drops. It looks good, but it's not a technical powerhouse, and there's no excuse for a game as big as this to have these issues. The presentation imo suffered quite a bit because of the slowdown and going in and out of 3D.

I'd prefer Z to be a sequal to X and Y. That way there's more motivation for going through the story again like black and white 2.

Ofcourse more content of any kind is welcome as well. Hard mode should definitely be a must. Pokemon is a pretty deep game, however, you can pretty much pick 1 pokemon with good typing/moveset and roll through the whole game. The elite 4 the first time, and multiplayer especially show the interesting mechanics.

I still loved the game and it's my favorite game of the year.

Can I get a source? That sounds awesome, I'd buy!

Honestly, I felt these games came out sooner than I expected. You know? They anonunced in January, but no delays. If they waited they probably could have polished it up more.

100% agreed on the Z being a sequel. Would definitely feel better than buy a game 3 times while playing the same thing, three times. Pokemon X and Y is my game of year as well.

I can guarantee you anything they WILL put out a Gen 3 remake maybe even before Z. I'd say 2015.
