LOL - I was waiting for someone to post something like that. Now I know what Sony meant by "greatness awaits". ;)
Ofcourse the reviews should be dissapointing. PS4 is supposed to be all about games so it's dissapointing when the games (launch or not) don't deliver. XBO is supposed to be all about TV and Entertainment first so if that doesn't deliver then it's dissapointing.
While it is disappointing, I kinda saw it coming. Most launch titles can be iffy, especially in the case of Knack (which I plan to purchase regardless of the reviews)
Sure, I would have loved to have seen Knack and KSF up in the 80s on metacritic, but what can ya do? Hopefully, next year titles like Drive Club, Infamous SS and The Order can pick up the slack. If not...welp, PS4 has no gamez.
Yeah, it is nice to have some fun, after all I will be ordering a PS4 also, just didn't now 'cause there is no appealing title for me and past experience shows me that launch lineup does really not shows near 1/3 of the console's power. Launching titles have the pressure for the console's deadline (usually for the holidays) and most of the games are ports of the current gen games, anyway (e.g. AC4). It really sucks more because we want to be surprised, we love the hype. I was surely expecting KZSF to score 9.5 up, I have played all, it's a great franchise.
No one cares, but you bet your ass if those reviews were 9's and 10's the entire world would of herd about it.

I think this pic is quite premature. I'm fully expecting the X1 lineup to be punished in reviews. Forza will get great scores, KI probably good ones and the rest lower. |
i wouldnt, consistancy is something gaming media is know for.
call me a conspiracy thearist, but i fully expect there to be a double standard.
i fully expect forza to score 87-91, even though it has like half the content of its predecessor. and no major gameplay inovations like day/night and weather. but it will be praised to high heavens.
Ryse will get a pass because it looks great, they will ignore its poor combat system and short length.
Im really disappointed with Killzones score, i expected nothing lower than an 85 meta. But at the end of the day im gonna love it cause it is Killzone. Knack on the other hand i expected to get pretty bad reviews but it'll still be a blast to play.

Nope not at all.
Some of my favourite games have had low scores by reviewers. Its like with films. The "experts" always rate films i think are good really low. I dont even read film reviews anymore its that bad.
Gaming reviewers are not much better,
Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!
Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st ![]()
