Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo Network ID - 3DS now has it. Unified Account ACHIEVED!

Hopefully this means SNES games are playable on the 3DS in the near future. I've skipped purchasing some using my Club Nintendo points because they weren't available for the 3DS and I don't have a Wii or Wii U yet.

Question to those who have used their Club Nintendo points.  If you purchase a VC game on Club Nintendo, how long until the code expires?  Or does it use codes at all?  I know the prize I got was a code.

you can only connect it to one 3DS? ):

Knowing how Nintendo does things, I'd bet at first this is only a one to one.

However, I think in 2014 we'll see the capability to login to different devices, meaning I can own two 3DSs or two Wii Us etc.

Also miiverse is coming out next month about time

I thought this meant they were dumping Friend codes. That is the worst to put up. Also knowing what your friends are currently playing would be a plus as well. So you do not have to call them on the phone of message them, you can just ask if they want to play via 3DS. That would be nice.

But this is really a good idea. Will we be able to link our Wii games as well? I would love to transfer them to Wii U when I get it off layaway next month, or does that happen automatically?

Still not good enough Nintendo, because reasons.

Of course it's not good enough, far from it. It's just a small step forward.

Until N gives us a full blown account system with games attached to it instead of the console, adds cross-buy, etc., the E-Shop doesn't exist for me. We are entering 2014 for crying out loud! I expect a finished and polished product.

Still, it's good N is trying to catch up with what is the standard in current gen. I just hope they don't stop half way or have some crazy Nintendo ideas that defy logic and look like the work of a madman (Friend Codes anyone?).

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

I don't know if you're from the U.S, but in the UK you can still only buy games using Club Nintendo Stars by spending them on Wii or DS shopping points. I phoned Nintendo and asked when Club Nintnedo rewards would be usable to convert into eShop currency, and I donlt think they understood what I was getting at as they just said "you can spend your stars on points to add to your Wii/DS balance. They didn't give me a straight answer. When I trade in stars for points they give me a reedemption code to type into the Wii/DS shopping app, and bang you are credited with the relevant points.

I'm in the US.  It's coins over here but every month they offer a couple Virtual Console games for purchase through club.nintendo.com.  I just don't know if they expire or not.  I've passed up several games I would have liked to use my points on but didn't because I wasn't aware if the codes expired and I don't have a Wii U to use them on yet.
