LBP?

LBP is a pretty hardcore game. Not for children.

I knew this game would be shit.
I remember at E3 people on here trying to big it up like it was some AAA title....

Driveclub will be the next bomba

Yeah, I think Driveclub will be a bleak NFS (with NFS being bleak itself today, that speaks volumes) with a slight sprinkle of the worst gimmicks from mediocre racing "sims".

It's hilarious how many people in this thread are mentioning Ryse in hopes that it flops too.

Just look at the user name, also NeoGaf are down so derp! http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=172049&page=1#

I agree, it's pretty hardcore but you can't deny that it appeals to children.

It's two previous iterations also weren't launch titles. For that matter, we should go look at all franchises who's reviews scores have "taken a drop" (again, and which were launch games - since this does make a difference). You'd be surprised to find out who they were and how little it mattered.

That's beside the point though, sub-zero-TM said it wasn't looking good for PS4 exclusives review wise and I agree that both Knack and Killzone fell short of expectations.

It isn't besides the point at all. What he said makes sense, yes, but I offered a perspective. Conolse launches are usually like this.

I agree with you that launch games are rarely gems but why doesn't this perspective apply to Knack too then? It's a launch game too. Why is Killzone doing fine and Knack doing bad? What I'm getting at here is that both games are in the same boat, both launch games, both falling short of expectations.

Um, it is very much for children. It's just enough to ofer something for adults as well.

I wouldn't call a game that features pornographic background maps suitable for childrens, but who knows

You mean just Knack. Everything else is doing fine (in regards to launch titles).

Killzone has taken a drop from its two previous iterations.

Oh my god, this! So much this!

Launch games are hardly ever reviewed or regarded very highly, for gods sake they're a bunch of games on new hardware that are all rushed to meet the launch. It is not surprising!!! Seriously that is why you don't buy a console at launch unless you just extremely crave a new toy to play, launch games are almost always mediocre, wait a couple months/ a year and you'll really see what you can expect on the console.

Notable exceptions are the Nintendo home consoles (excluding Wii U/Gamecube) which all had one game at launch that seriously defined the console and the original Xbox which had Halo.

The word context should really jump out, but sadly, it's not. There's a differne betwen falling short of expectations and flat out bombing! That's the difference beween Killzone and Knack. The latter will either be cancelled in pre-orders and/or disregarded totally, while most (who were interested) will still check out Killzone.

Make sense?

It finally does yes.

I wasn't aware the developer shipped the game with such a map. :S

It didn't. Yet again, any game with online/social component these days may be a potential danger for children!

I was joking the first time, in case it wasn't clear enough xD
