Forums - Sales Discussion - ANOTHER Industry Report Says PS3 Will Win

CLICK HERE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is another report that says that the PS3 will win. I personally think it will win, as many other research firms have found what I have. 360 will be almost as good as the PS3, but the PS3 has the BD player, it will have a lot of great exclusives (more than the 360, anyways), and it has free online. The Wiis will start collecting dust, as many people have noticed that about their DSs. With a lot of people who own DSs and PSPs selling off their DSs because they don't play them anymore. (I personally know two people that have done this) Here's the total numbers they said: "The cumulative WORLDWIDE sales for each platform as follows: Sony PlayStation 3 2006: 1.0m 2007: 19.5m 2008: 35.5m 2009: 50m 2010: 62m Xbox 360 2006: 10m 2007: 20.5m 2008: 30.5m 2009: 39m 2010: 46m Nintendo Wii 2006: 4.0M 2007: 10.5m 2008: 16.5m 2009: 21.5m 2010: 25.0m" And: "MARKET SHARE (rounded) 2006 PS3: 7% 360: 66% Wii: 27% 2007 PS3: 39% 360: 40% Wii: 21% 2008 PS3: 43% 360: 37% Wii: 20% 2009 PS3: 45% 360: 35% Wii: 20% 2010 PS3: 46% 360: 34% Wii: 20%"

Why are you spamming this everywhere? It was already posted in 2 other forums, one of them being by you. And note that this has nothing to do with American console sales

"Why do they call it the xbox 360? Because when you see it, you'll turn 360 degrees and walk away"

Its also just another case of attention seeking, because that source ain't reporting. Thats the kinda nonsense people new to journalism write when they don't have anything useful to say.

Hard to say if a 60/40 split is "winning". I think Microsoft would be very pleased with those figures. The only purpose of the Xbox is to undercut the competition and protect their OS monopoly.

The DS collecting dust? Is it why it is selling so much more software than the PSP. Say what you want but the DS is selling well both in software and in hardware. The problem with the PS3 is that it will most probarbly not win as much as the ps2 did. And when it come to exclusive titles...where have you been the latest months they have lost some of the exclusive titles to xbox360 (virtua figher and more). The xbox360 had gears of war and halo3. Speak about heavy weight titles. Then we have the Wii, I still think it will sell better than the ps3 in europe and japan. At least in the near future (2 years). The simple reason is price. I know one person that think that he need a Blue ray player. I am sorry the rest of us is happy with our DVDs so far.

I don't see how it's humanly possible that the PS3 can ship somewhere near 18m units THIS YEAR. That is nearly impossible. Not so much for theoretics, but the fact that there's no way that you could sell nearly 20m units @ $500-$600 each. With the 360, the factories were able to produce about 10,000 units per day per factory. That's 3.65m per factory, assuming they ran at 100% each day, every day. How in the world could Sony run enough factories to get that much? The Wii numbers are too low, the PS3 is too high (atleast for this year). The 360 numbers are near fine...

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

That's fantastic, objective reporting there, AmishGramish. You personally know two people who have done this. I personally know several people who did exactly the same with their PSP. Two friends's gaming habits do not make a reliable market survey, dood.

Not gonna happen.

I find it amuseing how your bashing him. I'm not gonna say too much but I have seen his name in things I've paid for. (game-wise)
