Trophies will now have a rarity level. They are split into four categories: common, rare, very rare, ultra rare. Each trophy will have a percentage assigned to it that shows what percentage of people who played that game earned that trophy. This adds another layer of competition to the trophy collecting culture.

Hmmm I think we are having a miscomunication.  When I look at my trophies on my PS3 I see that I have a platinum on some games, but the progress is not at 100%.  For example, I have a platinum for RDR, but the progress is only at 65% because of DLC

For the PS4 I want the main game to have a progress bar, so that when you get a platinum it stays at 100%, while DLC gets its own progress bar.

What you see is not the main game itself... it is the Game Category... when you open the Game Category you have the Main Game and DLCs separeted.

That's how it worked for me since 2010 I guess (only old games is everything together).

...cause if it does my trophy whoreness just might kill me. going after those elusive trophies no one else has...

I kinda like that, might encourage some games without remarkable marketing budgets to get more play, even if it's only from trophy whores lol.

Huh I just found it.  Its a setting that I need to turn on (square button) for each individual game?  what?  That seems dumb.

Eh well I hope they expand upon that with the PS4.  I would really like it to show 100% at the game level #fingerscrossed

Interesting. This is similar to gamercard websites which show stats n go into great detail. very nice.
