Nothing Metroid. As I said earlier, this game has only had one entry in its series. The main characters has been in other games.

The 2nd of these main characters only appears in 2player mode.

Oh right! Forgot that clue.....One off game where you ride a dinosaur.....this is hard, I even looked up a list of games with dragons...

Could this be Starfox Adventures? While technically Starfox it's a one off Starfox Adventure game, Fox and Krystal appear in other games, and Krystal is only playable in 2-4 player mode in Starfox Assault....but I don't recall climbing something to get to a flying dinosaur. Heck I can't think of any games which have dinosaur riding except Drakengard and Panzer Dragoon.

You have 40 seconds to come at top and there you have to jump and ride the dinosaur to get full bonus points.

After some time the game forces you to move up, which is done by a bear.

This game has only one entry and its main characters have both appeared in SSBBrawl and Melee.

In the back of my mind, I was thinking Ice Climbers, because I was thinking of "Who appeared in Smash Bros." But how was I suppose to know there was a Dinosaur on the top?

I was going to guess Ice Climbers, but....I thought that would look like a terrible guess. LOL. How is the original game? I don't have many NES games.

It's a very fun game, while the flaws of it are mostly of the repepetive level design and soundtrack. The gameplay works great and I for some reason found it very amusing. I like the concept and it's a shame a sequel has never been made yet and that makes me wonder why they have them in Smash. I think I have clocked around 10 hours of it on my 3DS.

It's one of the few NES games I really have enjoyed with the others being SMB2, SMB3, CS1 and CS3.

There's always hope for a sequel, they reintroduced Kid Icarus. You know, an Ice Climbers mini-game would have been awesome in NintendoLand. Actually it would be cool if Nintendo reintroduced some classic NES games like they did with 2D Mario and Donkey Kong, as a compilation disk. Or as unlockable games in Smash Bros or something.

This was my first Prince of Persia game and quite simply, the platforming was sublime. It's not without it's flaws; the enemies are repetitive and combat's too simple, but overall it was a good experience. I liked the way they circumvented the need to reload from checkpoints with the dying mechanic and the art style was a refreshing change from the usual brown and grey of games released around the sametime. The way the relationship between the Prince and Elika was built was also done very well. I think part of the reason I enjoyed the game is because gameplay mechanics were actually relaxing. I could play at my own pace whilst enjoying the artwork, the platforming mechanics just plain worked, and it was near impossible to become frustrated because there was never a reload screen. Underrated and misunderstood game imo.

The look and feel of the game remind me of the film 300... but instead of 300 spartans there's only one and instead of holding a pass, he ventures across moving terrain.

No idea other than maybe God of War 3, with the moving terrain being the titan Gaia at the beginning?  Seems pretty vague of a clue.
