Fun facts.

-19 of my favorite games are on the Playstation.
-Seven of my favorite games released in 1998
-My favorite series of games on PC is Might and Magic, although no PC exclusives made the top 50.
-There are 35 Sony Playstation games, 14 Nintendo games, and 1 Sega game in my top 50.
-From 1994 to 2007, there's been atleast one game each year in my top 50 favorites.

These fun facts may not be the same next year because I'm going to limit the amount of games per genre and maybe per franchise so my list is more diverse.

As I suspected, 1998 has the most entries and the 5th generation as a whole wins. Also, the nineties as a decade win easily as every year except 1990 has at least one entry in my list. The latter part of the decade is the heaviest, understandably, as that was the 5th generation.

I elaborated on that part. Just because I could, and because everyone's naming the years now :

So, indeed the 5th Gen pops out, but there's a slight overlap in the later years with (DC) 6th Gen games. The 4th and 7th Gen have also done well, though a couple of the games 2011 and up are 8th Gen games similar to the 5th to 6th situation. The 6th Gen does looks better in this chart than it was in reality though, as nearly all those games in those years are PC games on the list. What also pops out is a year like 2001, with nothing right between two quite successful years. It's a shame though, because it kills what would have been a nice streak!

Mmmm, let's see what else I can cook up soon, this is almost as fun as writing the list itself...

I think I've underestimated Shadow of the Colossus quite a bit, it's almost at the lower end of my list but now that I've progressed more into the game I would have placed it much higher... Well there's always next year.

Yep.

I'm at the home stretch now. I'll have it up worst case by tomorrow.

Assassin's Creed 4 (PS4) will likely be somewhere between 25-35 on my list next year. If you guys havn't played it yet, drop what you are doing and go pick it up. 65 hours on one save and I am still not even beginning to get bored. Multiplayer is actually pretty cool too if you play the fun game modes like Wolfpack.  It's so much better than the other AC games it almost seems like a diff series.

I've honestly never been bothered to pick up and play any of the other Assassins Creed games, but I made sure that ol' Santa brought me Black Flag thanks to the overwhelmingly positive responses and pirate setting. Haven't played it yet, but it's next on my backlog. Really can't wait to give it a go. ^_^

Also, all the data is put in and 97% of the presentation is done. I'll have the results thread up either late tonight or tomorrow morning.

Cool, can't wait to see the data output!  As for AC, you aren't missing out on much.  2 was incredibly good, all the rest were mediocre or bad, IMO.  4 is on a different level completely.  Post or PM me your PSN ID so we can play Wolfpack...

So far, I completely agree. I just started last week and haven't really gotten into the main crux of the story but I'm enjoying it far more than AC3 already.
