?

Metal Gear Solid 3?

Yup.

Much better than Kresnik's shitty clue, not even a huge MGS and James Bond fan got that one!

#11: Final Fantasy III(VI) (SNES)

With a story of epic proportion and an incredible cast of characters, Final Fantasy VI managed to surpass Final Fantasy IV in every way. With deeper combat and longer "runtime", you really were immerse in this world of magic, technology, espers and mad clowns. Kefka will probably always remain the best Final Fantasy vilain ever created, what I like about his portrayal is that you discover just how mad he is as you play the game and what he's capable of. From poisonning the water of Doma, to backstabbing Emperor Geshtal and gaining ultimate power, Kefka is not to be messed with.

The game's second half is very open ended since you can gain back your party members in practically any order you choose, it's also filled with tons of sidequests and the final dungeon with it's three team dynamic is marvelous.

Now, I can't talk about Final Fantasy VI without mentionning its soundtrack. It is simply magnificient, in my humble opinion, Nobuo Uematsu's greatest achievement and that's saying a lot considering how freaking awesome that guy is. There's the well known tunes like Dancing Mad or Terra and Celes's themes but every piece of music in this game is something special, they truly give life to the location you visit and make Final Fantasy VI an unforgettable experience.

A little sidenote, I've recently attended a concert of Distant Worlds and the opera "Maria and Draco" sung live with a narrator and three soloist was simply breathtaking.

If you ever get the chance, don't hesitate. It's really a tremendous show. There was a girl so into it that she came, dressed as Maria(Celes), complete with the blonde hair, big white dress and flowers.

#10: Resident Evil 4 (GC, Wii)

Resident Evil 4 is a true tour-de-force. It managed to revitalize the series without sacrificing its roots. A few minutes into the game, you suddenly realize this ain't no Raccoon City zombies you're up against. The plaga infected villagers are aggresive, mobile and won't let a simple door stop them from getting to you. The whole game is fast-paced, adrenaline pumping, pulse pounding but doesn't lose its fear factor. Enemies like Dr. Salvador (the chainsaw wielding maniac), the sneaky insects populating the sewers or the creepy as hell regenators provide plenty of "Oh shit!" moments.

Resident Evil 4 also has perfect pacing, each section is just long enough so you don't get tired of it, enemies also vary a lot as you progress through the game. The boss fights are all great, even Ramon Salazar who I usually one-shot with the rocket launcher. The dialogue can be corny at times but it's all part of the Reisdent Evil charm. Truly a game to be played and replayed.

#9: Metroid Prime (GC)

Metroid Prime was a bold move because not only did it bring Samus in a 3D world, it did it from a first person perspective. The result was a complete and utter success. Right from the get-go, the game feels right, the essence of what makes a Metroid game is still there, the exploration, the power ups, the morph ball, the inacessible path you'll get back to later, everything. Talon IV is beautiful, vast and a joy to explore. Samus controls perfectly, even when you have to run, make a double jump and shoot your grapple beam. The story is also really captivating, told through logs you scan during your journey, it is never forced on you. Filled with thrilling boss fights and challenging areas this game provides with many hours of gaming heaven.
