Don't you dare f**king say Stunt Race FX. That game was awesome.
I want to vote Kirby, but he started on the Gameboy/NES....
Never heard of Stunt Race. Just looked it up...looks awesome!
Back to the clue. Check it closely. I capitalized Kiddy for a reason.
That's because in USA you didn't get a bundle with a famous local sports star :P
Yeah, with tobacco ads in the box, Nintendo was hardcore back then xD
I don't see the cigarette ad, but that looks awesome! SR FX is an amazing game, I rented this game over a dozen times as a kid, enough to pay for the game twice over.
What is with all the hate? Don't read GamrReview Articles. Contact me to ADDgames to the Database Vote for the March Most Wanted / February Results

My hint could have been used for any game that had it in there, so close enough. Dragon Warrior 7 is on the list though. In Coastal the girl tells you she'll give you a puff puff for luck. Or something along those lines.
#32 - Dungeon Keeper 2 (Kudos to Player2 for guessing this)
In the late 90's, Bullfrog Productions were just on an unstoppable roll for me. Every game they released just became an instant classic for me. Dungeon Keeper 2 was no exception - a massive step up from the first game and just a fantastic management/strategy game.
I mean, heck, even the premise is clever. You have so many games where you're the hero and you have to plunder dungeons, killer monsters and getting loot. Why not flip that on its head and cast you as the keeper of a dungeon who has to build traps and entice minions in so that the heroes who come to attack your dungeon get slaughtered?
Dungeon Keeper 2 kept the brilliant Bullfrog humour that ran throughout all their games - Succubi groaned excessively at times; the narrator mocked you in dulled tones; it was just fantastic.
And the gameplay was absolutely sublime. Digging out your dungeon and filling your rooms with traps and creatures - it was exactly the kind of micro-management that I'd grown to love from Bullfrog and it didn't let up at all here.
A fantastic game; and I cannot wait for the spiritual successor "War for the Overworld" to release next year.
#31 - Populous: The Beginning (Kudos to Player2 for guessing this)
As I've mentioned already multiple times in this thread, I love Bullfrog. I love them as much as it's possible to love any defunct developer. And yet, I had never played any Populous games before the third in the series appeared on the PS1; despite it being pretty much the series which put them on the radar.
While I realise it's nothing like earlier Populous and nothing like EA's attempts to revive Populous on the DS, "The Beginning" is an absolutely fantastic game and definitely the direction they should have taken the series had it survived longer.
Mixing God game with RTS in the most fantastic way, Populous 3 had you controlling the shaman of a mythical tribe who leads her people to conquer the galaxy. While controlling the shaman herself and having many supernatural powers at your disposal (something which was emulated in Lionhead's later "Black & White games"); you also had to manage a settlement of followers - build buildings for them; train them up as warriors or preachers and then ultimately go to war with opposing tribes.
I feel like Populous 3 was a game ahead of its time. You could terraform the landscape in fantastical ways which just didn't seem technically possible at the time. The combat was always a massive nightmare of attacks flying everywhere, yet it was fantastically fun to control.
And I've neglected to mention the best part of the game: the soundtrack. So soothing. You'll need it, to keep the stress of the actual game at bay.
Just like Dungeon Keeper, this one has gotten a recent spiritual successor in the form of Godus, something which I have yet to check out but keep meaning to.
#37 - This game received some praise for mocking other well established franchises but critisizm for a lack of originality. Had a very challenging post game challenge mode, which took me 2 days to finish, but it was damn satisfying. IMO this game defines fast paced action games. This game was criticized because the enemies look like a main enemy type in a famous Bioware Game.
#36 - One of the major characters in this game, was not seen in a sequel, but might be re-introduced in the next game in the series. This game is often considered the best in the franchise by most of the hardcore fans. This is also a fighter, it's a sequel to a game which almost didn't get localized because the developer thought that the Western Audience wouldn't like it.
#35 - Was an exclusive, then it was no longer exclusive, but then a special edition made this an exclusive again. A terrible design choice in the sequel killed all hype for this franchise. Gameplay involves using grapple hooks to climb up ledges, and thermal packs to survive the extreme conditions.
#32 - While 3D is all the rage now, this game was one of the first games to properly utilize the consoles two screens. It's named after a GBA franchise, which was a sequel to a Japan only Gameboy franchise.
#31 When you hack into a research computer in this game, you can ask the following questions, and get these answers:
What happened to China? Reports uncertain. China my be fictional. Can mole rates be domesticated? Yes if defanged, declawed, & lobotomized Can Centaurs talk? Abundance of tongues suggest so.
