yea its rather confusing,  both AP and larry are looking into things, but he apparently cannot play offline at all.  unclear if he has the patch or not,  and then Cboat hinting about some developers choosing that you need to be online, or that MS can effectively brick your console from even SP games

I agree.  With the inclusion of Kinect, any attempt to paint the specifications of the two consoles as equal is ridiculous.

That is really weird.  So the Day 1 patch doesn't remove the DRM?  I would imagine there is going to be another Day 1 patch before launch, otherwise there is going to be a lot of pissed off people.

The thing while people like to talk about one different two competing game console systems have never been two competing so similar before. They both have a universal memory pool, the exact same size RAM, the same number of CPU's, the same size Hard Drives, Modems, both go to a low power state, etc.

The big differences are one has a more powerful GPU and one has more functionally with Kinect. Thats where I see the most significant differences, the new Kinect Functionally (Voice, motion, automation, video conferencing, user recognition). The rest is mostly arguable. (Tough Page, Feed back triggers, etc.)

Sure there other difference, but with so many similarities it seems to have cause many to freak out about it.

That wasn't the Day 1 Patch that he downloaded, he said it was only 500mb. The full DRM removal patch is at least 1GB
