WiiU, 80 million cause why not, its still too early to label it a failure cause the other two consoles might have the same problem after all the fanboy hype goes down

3ds 125 million cause it has no competition and the games are too damn good

More chance of zombie Stalin knocking on your door then the WiiU hitting those figures. The other two consoles are nothing like the Wii U at all, so saying they might have the same problem is a fundamental misunderstaning of what the problem is.

Considering your name has ps4 in it... having a conversation would be pointless so all I can say is... Its my opinion and nothing more and saying anything about it won't change it

If mine has PS4 in it and yours has jizz in it....wtf dude?

Your "opinion" is based on nothing. It's not an informed opinion, it's just ramblings till you can show how you think the Wii U will hit 80 mill when it's already technically outdated, unable to play 8th gen games and hasn't got the momentum the Wii had.

Depends honestly, some say 3ds will last long maybe up to 2020 but i think around 2018(it'll keep selling but not as much)

My guess no less than 85mil, but it can reach around 110-120mil only if it last long. My one answer prediction is 100mil

Estimation

2011+2012= 28.4mil (around this)

2013= 17mil

2014=13mil

2015= 12mil

2016= 10mil

2017= 7mil

2018= 6mil

2019= 4mil

(just estimates!!! Dontbkno which game comes out when lol)

17M in 2013? So, it will sell 11.87M from October to December? For comparison's sake, the maximum the DS has ever sold during that period was 11.89M.

That's a tall order.

Nintendo announced that 3DS has surpassed 5 million units sold in Japan this year(yes sold not shipped)

so it's either VGchartz numbers are wrong or 3DS barely got 100K in NA and Europe combined

http://playeressence.com/3ds-sold-5-million-units-japan-2013/

bet with ash3336 he wins if Super Mario 3D World sells less than Mario Sunshine during the first three years, I win if 3D World outsells Sunshine's first 3 years. Loser get sig controlled for 3 months (punishment might change)

Do you doubt the WiiU? Do you believe that it won't match the GC?

Then come and accept this bet

Your argument is just wrong tho.

For example the horsepower argument does matter here. Comparing it to other generations is a waste of time because the gap has never been larger. From the outset we have an "8th" gen console that can't actually play 8th gen games. The only way the Wii survived this was thanks to its controller, but on the flipside it looks like no one cares for the WIiU's controller.

Look at the big multiplats that are coming out - BF4, Destiny, Rainbow 6: Patriots, The Division etc. Not coming to Wii U. And we can bet that Watchdogs and Assassin's Creed 4 will look pants compared to the PS4 and Xbones version.

But hey, Nintendo has first party right? Well a) that's never gotten their console far on its own (remember, Wii was helped because of the controller) and b) they are really, really, really stagnating with their ideas so will be gradually losing player retention instead of increasing their userbase.

Nintendo as of this moment in time are really, really really boned unless they start from scratch and readdress what gamers circa 2014 want, not what worked back in the late 80's/mid 90's.

Its wrong in your opinion... All you have to prove that the ps4 will sell more than the wiiU is the hype... The ps4 hasn't even come out yet and it has 1 million in pre-orders... Time and time again, it has been proven that first party has to lead the way followed by third party... The Gamecube didn't sell well because most of the First Party games weren't very good with an exception of a few... On the wii, ds and 3ds, there were tons of first party games that were good for both casual and hard core as well as an attractive price point... All I can say is, just wait and see instead of just speculating on how the consoles that havn't even come out yet are going to do soley based on hype... I am not saying the ps4 is going to sell lower than the wiiU, if there was a thread on ps4 sales predictions, I would say 150 million, but I do think that the wiiU will sell well...

Third Parties go where the money is and if the wiiU starts selling due to System Selling First Party games which are coming out next year, they will make a port on the wiiU but the ps4 and xbox 1 will obviously have superior third party support

Also don't forget that a lot of those games are coming out for current gen as well...

It's wrong because it doesn't follow a cohesive, logical path. Or to say it another way, your opinion is nuts.

What I have to prove that the PS4 OR XB1 will sell more is that they have more games out for them, games that belong to popular franchises and multiplats were some of the best performing games in the 7th gen. Are you really saying that the world will radomly and radically change so that everything we learnt from the 7th gen no longer applies? That what you really wanna say?

Third party CANT FOLLOW ANY WII U FIRST PARTY CUZ IT CANT HANDLE 8TH GEN GAMES. That clear enough for you? All you have said is "The Wii U will sell well" but not said how considering the sales trends of the last 5 years. If I recall correctly as well, most big games skipped the Wii as well and that solely relied on 1st party titles so where the hell are you getting the idea that 3rd party follows 1st party? That just aint true and nothing that's happened in recent memory says otherwise.

There have been ports of Cod and other games on the wii dude and its not even close to the graphical level of the ps3/360... your arguement is stupid

The Wii U (if memory serves) is tracking below the Gamecube, but it also started at a much higher cost. I think the recent sales bump in Japan shows there is decent demand for it if there are appealing games being released. On the other hand, Nintendo has a habit of prematurely dropping their consoles, and I can't see their first party support lasting much beyond 2016. And third party support won't pick up the slack. I believe it will sell less than the N64 but more than the Gamecube.

About: 25 million

The 3DS, while it will likely be the first or second best selling system of the gen, lacks the casual games that made the DS such a breakout success. It's far more similar to the GBA, which had traditional Nintendo series such as Pokemon and Mario but didn't expand beyond the traditional Nintendo handheld audience. If Nintendo continues with their current strategy, I see the 3DS ending its lifetime between the GBA and DS, likely close to what the original Gameboy sold.

About: 120 million

Sure about that? That seems to be shipped numbers since media create has 3DS sales at 3.796.114 as of last week.

Wii U - 55-60 million

3DS - 100 - 110 million
