Nintendo’s New Game ‘Great Detective Pikachu’ Trademarked

The big gaming company’s Nintendo and Game Freak filed in Japan reveals potential title of upcoming Pokemon game.

Nintendo’s new Pokemon game could be “Great Detective Pikachu” if a new trademark filed in Japan is any indication. All About Pokemon Figure (via NintendoLife) dug up the trademark, which was originally filed by Nintendo and Game Freak on October 11.

It just got revealed last week that Great Detective Pikachu is the name of the all-new Pokemon detective adventure game. This game will reportedly have players solving mysteries with Pikachu acting as a sidekick.

A special blue Pikachu will also reportedly feature in game, who can speak, though it is unclear if the talking Pikachu is the game’s antagonist.

As with all trademark filings, many of which go unused, it is possible that Nintendo and Game Freak are merely covering their bases by trademarking Great Detective Pikachu.

The most recent Pokemon game was Pokemon X/Y, released exclusively on 3DS last month. The games combined to sell more than 4 million copies in two days.

To me, it sounds like a Japanese title for the game, so who knows what's it going to be called elsewhere..

This is that game that recognizes your face expressions and use them in the game. Apparently, Pikachu may react to your expressions in certain points of the game. Interesting stuff.. but how exactly it works is still a mistery

"Oh no, Pikachu! How ever will we be able to solve this electricity based problem we came across in our adventure?"

I hope they get Level 5 , the Capcom developers of Phoenix Wright, or Cing to help out.

I heard there was Blue Pikachu in the game... make this an event pokemon for X and Y PLEASSSSSSSSEEE!!!!!!
