True, I was referring more to the 80mil landmark which it hit. It's still doing incredibly well for such an old system (but is rather down YoY, but that's to be expected). Will it outsell the Wii? I'm not so certain anymore, but even if it doesn't it'll be quite the turnaround from the relatively ropey beginnings. 

Unless PS3 completely drop off the cliff next year, it will outsell the Wii.

Its funny how you dont use your logic  for Sony as you do for Nintendo (MH4+XY)

Listen if you seen certain threads you would kno, he's been arguing with many of us for things we proven him wrong. I kno wat im talking about, all you have to do is pop up in other threads and see when he post negative stuff or irrelevant statements in Nintendo threads but doesn't apply same logic to Sony.

Also The correct comparison for XY is DP but he uses BW. As of now BW is ahead of XY and XY is ahead of DP and as facts show it DP outsold BW. Only reason BW sold so much against XY and DP is user base. DP+XY had around 34mil user base at launch vs BW 140mil+.

It already droped off the cliff, PS3 will not even match 10 million this year (will be around, 9. something million). If PS3 sales sustain this level, it will need more 2 years to reach Wii sales. It is possible, but not so certain how you are saying. 

If it beat Wii, would be funny, because PS3 is a console that never sold well, but is a Highlander that never dies.

PS3 sold 6.573 million until 2th november. We have only 9 weeks and three days until the years end. To match what I said, PS3 needs to sell 3,327 million. I don`t said it will sell 9 million, but 9. something, wich is 9.0-9.99. 

Let`s look at last years sales: 3th november until 05th january - PS3 sold 4,8 million and I gave it 4 more days. If you discount your 30% (look at your post, "dude") = 4.8 - 30% =  3.36 million for this year! 

So, if PS3 sell that amount it will not reach 10 million (almost, of course).

I can be wrong, but this is not a random comment.

Let remember something: PS4 launch this year and we have this PS3 sales (6,5 million in 10 months), that maybe is still a little overtracked, with GTA Bundle.

So, you're saying that the PS3 will sell 9.933M. Now factor-in the fact that VGChartz is undertracking the PS3 by 68,489 (since more than 80M by Nov 2nd). Using your estimate, that gives us 10.001489M PS3 in 2013.

I live how you wriggle your way out of this though with your 9.0-9.99. "The PS3 sold 9,999,999 - I was right, it did not reach the 10M mark... woo hoo"..

And guess what? The PS3 is still $269. The price hasn't dropped since 2011. Plenty of room to drop the price and plenty of legs left.
