ill give my honest opinion here. The game visually looks fantastic, great attention to detail, great animations great everything honestly. however, the game looks boring as fuck. the actual gameplay looks dull and honestly it looks as its an easy game. the killing animations look cool, but after the first 3 times they get boring. why does everyone has to be in slow motion? and since i understand that you cant fail at these finishing moves do i have to wait out until they are done with every enemy? honestly the game looks extremely boring.

That's pretty much exactly how I feel.  I've seen the reveal, I've seen the gameplay trailers and all the hands on stuff, and while it looks stunningly beautiful, it also looks stunningly boring.  

The only Xbox One launch title I'm even cautiously optimistic about is Dead Rising, since it's done by different people than the first two, neither of which were any good, nor did I like them.  

i thought the reveal was great honestly. yeah the QTE's and slow motion was a lot in the reveal, but i thought it was just for show, but it turned out i was wrong. however the more i see the gameplay the more boring it seems. you just seem to be doing the same thing over and over and over. this coming out of someone who loves the roman/gladiator/spartan setting. thats also why i probably thought the reveal was great, i was to interested in the setting than the game itself. 

I love all these people trying to downplay the Xbox exclusives. At least the ones getting the Xbox have some game variety. Ps4 only has knack and killzone.

Reviewers and fans of god of war series expect way to much from Ryse. It was design to replicate how teh romans fought back in those days and its doing that perfectly. Do you expect a roam with all taht heavy aromor and massive shield to fly around and leap sky high liek kratos? LOL. Thats not possible. Reading Aldros comment adn teh reviewers complaint its clear teh didn't experiemnt with the combat systme. Theres timing for parry which is not taht easy and each blow as its own seperate time. YOu shield bash them, you can disarm from their weapons, you can use teh environmetn to perform hundreds of executions and so on. I think that alone is pretty good sinc eGod of war i snot much better as you can sill press one or two buttons in the entire game to finish it. Its a game about romans therefore it follow their fighting technique. They are not gods nor is marius a god so he can't do what kratos can.

I agree that the XBONE retail exclusive launch lineup is better, but variety is such a poor choice of a word. Knack and Killzone are compleate opposites. XBONE has two dudebro killing games and a sim racer.

Tell me more about variety because PS4 have more exclusives genre at launch.
