Why would Vita get discontinued. That would make Sony look so shitty and weak. It would make them in the eye of everyone as a company who doesn't have faith in their console and gives up easily.

Original rumours expected it to come out day and date with Black Flag, like Liberation did last year. Could it be that Sofia's resources were needed to get Black Flag out on time (bearing in mind the extra formats) and so Rising Phoenix went on the back burner for a bit and now Sofia will return to that game?

It would have almost 4 years on the market. That's pretty much how long the first Xbox was on the market. 

And if Vita sales won't pick up next year, I could seriously see Sony pulling the plug in like early 2016 maybe even sooner at least in the West . And I wouldn't blame them, that move would be totally justified. They are not in the financial position to carry the burden of a dead console artificially alive.

I remember for sure reading that Sofia team was helping with Black Flag development so that may be the case.

Ya but its only digitally, I doubt most people that don't look up gaming on the internet will even know its on PS3.

I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest.

Like any game on any platform, if it is done well and good, I will buy it.

Liberation's sales were excellent, so I wouldn't be surprised.

There's also a Vita Value pack (with 16gb memory card and colour matching case etc) coming out in Japan at the start of December... there's still hope! :p

I notice 30% of voters don't want to see another Vita Assassin's Creed. I'm curious why. Is it system envy because no other dedicated portable console can pull off such a feat, is it due to not liking the last one, not wanting to buy a Vita (no gaemz n all), or having no interest in portable games?
