I just thought I'd compare metacritic averages for the first year of Nintendo's last three consoles. Wii U has had a pretty good first year all things considered. The biggest let down has the been the low quality of third party titles published by Nintendo.

The other thing that surprised me is that there hasn't been a first party drought that much worse than previous console releases.

Interesting, and maybe it justifies the warm feelings some gamers get from the Gamecube, even though it did worse than the Wii. Gamecube had some fun first party stuff.

When Nintendo publish a game, don't they normally have really strict QC? Obviously their internally developed stuff is good, but their outsourced stuff doesn't seem to be getting the same scrutiny.

the big difference is that people relie too much on review scores compared to last generations.

You should do this for Sony and Microsoft.

I appreciate the work you put into this thread, but you seem to be missing a bunch of titles.

I only did Nintendo published titles. Should have put that in the title

Oh, I see now. I withdraw my complaint :)
