During a live broadcast dedicated to the Tokyo Game Show on a Japanese TV channel, Sony Computer Entertainment booth staffers  found themselves in an awkward situation as the host tried The Playroom on the PS4 under the watchful eye of the camera.

The host tried to operate the touch pad on the DualShock 4, and the console simply failed to respond repeatedly, prompting the intervention of a staffer that had to struggle for quite a while to help. Then the host moved on to demonstrate the PlayStation App on a tablet, and the PS4 failed to respond just again, causing hilarity and awkwardness between the anchors. Everything happened live, so there was no way to put a patch on it.

Now, to be fair, this kind of mishap isn’t exactly too rare on a show floor, where radio interference is rampant and devices fail often; but for it to happen on live TV, in front of a potential audience of millions, it’s quite the stroke of bad luck.
