Why is the xbox one not trapped there ? it has half the resolution of the ps4 and it even is the most expensive?? do you think the console justifies a premium??

i still believe there are stilll a lot of Nintendo fans who dont fall into advertisment bull and the biased "unbiased" people

First you tell me that "they're just cooking with water" and then you start with resolution differences? What is that?

For the record, the xbox brand still has momentum, they will have a smooth transition with franchises and 3rd parties with both simultaneous releases for 360/One and exclusives for the One to make wind for the sails, the price is still at the same level that the PS3 and 360 had no trouble moving in the 7th gen, it is rather the Wii U that looks expensive when you see the difference in tech, online features, connectivity and support when compared to the PS4 and One. The hardware losses are also bad news, Nintendo only have their gaming division, they don't have other divisions to cut back on or to offset loss with.

The PS4 and the One are not in the same boat as the Wii U, they're not even on the same river. At this point, one has to wonder if Nintendo even has a boat in the home console market.

There is simply no justifiable way anyone could claim that the Wii U is in a favorable situation right now or set up for an explosive holiday season. Struggling ta make it past 1/3 of the sales of the currently best selling home console coming off of an ending generation when you've had a whole on the market to adjust and get in position is hardly a feat to be lauded in my books.

The PS4 and One will not make the Wii U shine, on the contrary. Nintendo's first party titles will keep the Wii U afloat but it will never swim very well at all, in my opinion the whole console was a mistake from the beginning and this is something I have said since way before it even launched, seems fairly precise thus far. And, before you go there; no you cannot draw a direct paralell to the 3DS comeback, two extremely different situations.

Your last bit implies that the only possible value of a PS or xbox product is advertising and people who fall for bullshit, that right there strips you of all credibility; that is a self-justifying, elitist and terribly weak position and argument, even for the internet.

oh yes nintendo was creative, thats bad. you have the cool miverse and off tv play, how can that be bad??
4 Player Mario 3d world.

yeah seriously how long can xbox keep having a price of 500???

ofc it will sell eventually really good, if the xbox can sell so can the wii u

Did I say creativity was bad? No, but it doesn't always sell. The miiverse is cool? That's your opinion, that bias you're declaring everyone else guilty of, and obviously not helping with sales either. Off TV play is bad? Did I say that?

How long can the One have a 500$ price tag? Not very long, I imagine but when they do lower it they have; A: A product with actual appeal, and B: Several divisions and more software sales to offset eventual losses.

If the Playstation can sell, so can the N64. If the 3DS can sell, so can the Vita. See how that works? It doesn't. You're clutching at straws, as well as building men out of them.

no you said wii u will do bad. what will make you think that?? their 30 years of history? there wii success were everyone stated it would be bad? there 3ds that turned around even though it was a different thing?

just 1 year of bad sales??

Are you able to have a coherent discussion with another person? Perhaps it's time you actually gave your posts some substance and showed some actual reasoning instead of flinging question marks and changing up the posture and argument the whole time?

I might consider writing another response if you could simply break things down into a proper analysis and show me why you're right, are you able to or am I simply wasting my time? You're employing cheap hit & run tactics and leaving all the writing to me when I'm the one who actually has a case and the ability to formulate it, you haven't backed a single thing or showed an ounce of insight so far.
I'm expecting more question marks and strings and outbursts of desperation and a continued lack of understanding for a well reasoned argument and its value in a discussion.

Anyway maybe you are right, but i still believe in the Wii u.

I still can´t imagine the system selling even worse than the GameCube 0_0

Though I´m thinking it might end up below the N64.

There's nothing wrong with that. For the record, I turned into a more or less 100% PC guy during the 7th gen, not because of the Wii but because of the PS3/360. Modern games are shallow, automated, unchallenging (both intellectually and technically) and filled with sameness and uninspired writing.

I like what Nintendo represents, in many ways and I did grow up with the NES but I fear Nintendo have started losing their grip somewhat and that the future of console gaming will be a lot of brown and gray, a lot of generic elements in a large stew and QTE's and other spawn of satan dictating the developers.

Gaming is changing, the extremely casual and the extremely hardcore are tearing it in two directions and there might not be much left in the middle, where the real value lies for me.

With 160k first quarter, 300k second quarter and roughly 250k for October at least there is a slow but steady increase in sales. Hopefully by the end of next year they'll be turning a profit again so we can see more and better first party games.

On a side note, what's with the massive under tracking of Wii U software. It's just over 10 mil over here, yet it should be almost double (digital sales not included). A staggering difference.
