I don't know why people are saying the Wii U is doing as well as the 360 when its clearly overtracked. 300k on shelves? I'd expect that from the Ps2

Well according to VG chartz figures Wii U has sold over 200,000 in the last 3 weeks. The figures mentioned are pre Zelda and price cut..oh and pre higher profile games. Its slowly spluttering into life.

Any evidence as to how the WiiU  was overtracked or are we at the point where anything slightly positive for Nintendo must be fabricated? NPD numbers for September suggest Wii U was just about spot on for NA last month, even slightly undertracked.

I don't even know if this thing will break 20 million at this point...

Well, sales doubled, that is good. And, to be honest, with no good games to back it up really, it is a Zelda remake from a very old game an a PIKIMIN game, which are ok, I guess, but nothing to write home about.

Slightly positive? 500K in 6 months is nothing positive. Not even remotely slightly. Its flat out bad. It wasnt undertracked last month it was over tracked by about 10k as with ever other month. (Though brett may have fixed previous months since then. Id have to look). As for your evidence? 300K on shelves is your evidence. That would resemble a supply constrained system. That would represent a console that would be hard to come by. You want more evidence? Negative shipment in Europe with its biggest software title weve seen this year about to release. Its clearly overtracked and by a good margin 

Sorry, but when your releasing a new sku (wwhd bundle) sales obviously have to double since you need to send every store that carries a wii u at least 3 wii us (thats how many come in a box)
