Since Assassin Creed IV has come out and is great I was wondering when people think the next assassins creed game will be set and why.

My Guess is during the American Civil war because it would be the next major transformative period in American history and features oneof the most famous assassinations in American History.

What I cant decde is what side will the assassins come down on. We could get an alternate view of history where the templars side with the north looking to remain in complete control of America with Lincoln as a templar.

I want something in a more... Ancient setting. Egypt gets thrown around a lot and I'd love to see it. If Black Flag is the game nearly everyone is saying it is, my opinion might change after I've played it!

Its gonna be set around the time of vikings. You'll play as a character that wears a hoodie with horns on it.

That will be a bonus for the Wii U version, assuming it will exist.

Those are all really good ideas.  I really like the Victorian Era ideas.

I could also see how they get involved in Japan with the showguns and perhapse Marko Polo, China and India with the tea conflicts.  China with the opium wars.

Sounds like they could be making the game for years.



 

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

There's so many great periods in human history they should revisit, but I'm afraid they will keep going forward in time before they go back again.

Next game might be set in WW1. It's still a relatively primitive era where they can pretend tanks and ariplanes don't exist and where one single assassin can make a difference.

I imagine they would like to visit the Civil War as a logical step after ACIII but as a French developer they also understand that going to the USA twice in a short time would be felt as too much by many people. Europeans don't give a rats ass about American history, if you haven't realized that by now.
