Heh, the battle mode is the best part of the game for me, much better than regular racing. It's tons of fun, even in singe player. After unlocking all the characters in MK 7 I stopped playing races, but I continued playing battles for half a year or so every evening. I think that should tell you how much I love it. ^^

 

Hopefully they'll release some sort of Arena DLC. I don't need many, 4 would be plenty (although more would be welcome).

 

I might join in on the Pokemon Tourney next time. I just have to get to training first. :P

That's fair enough then; I just couldn't really get into the Battle Mode sadly, but I understand for those who "got" it this would be a letdown.

But you haven't played MK8's battle mode yet so how do ya know it still wouldn't be as fun? :O

But you haven't played MK8's battle mode yet so how do ya know it still wouldn't be as fun? :O

Well, I don't like the conventional racing as much as the battle mode, so placing it all on racing tracks probably won't help there. But the main thing is that much of what makes the battle mode fun seems to be gone. Much of the strategy seems to be gone, as you just go around in circles trying to hit those that comes against you. You loose a lot of the skill involved, as before you could predict where players would be, and at what angle you had to shoot, now this will hardly be possible to a great extent because of the linear structure of the cources. 

 

Of cource, I might be completely wrong and end up calling it the best thing ever to happen to MK, but I doubt it. I mean, most of you haven't played the game yet (at least not much of it), yet most seem to think it's going to be bonkers. :P It's called an educated guess.

But I don't think it's gonna be bonkers, I know it will be!

But yeah I'm not too excited for the battle mode either, but I just wanna try it first before writing it off.
