The Great

Smash Run looks great.
Special move customization is amazing.
Charizard is back
Character changes look to be for the better. Like the changes for Pit, Kirby, ZSS, so far.
Zelda has a real ranged attack!
Mega Man's Final Smash
Cool new items

The Good

Better online options
No item 1v1 mode
Lots of Final Destinations
Stages look nice
Lots of Pokemon and assists
3DS version for the Summer
Greninja

The Bad

Wii U for Winter
Squirtle and Ivysaur face uncertain face
No Stage Selection for 1v1 online. I don't always want to play FD.

The game looks really good, and the Smash series looks like it will continue its tradition of going all out in terms of modes and characters. I'm still bummed that they can't get it out quicker (I'm greedy I guess) but I'll be playing these games for 5+ years so a few months isn't a big deal.

My one complaint is the "For Glory" mode. The issue is that, as good Smash players know, FD is NOT a balanced stage. Certain characters, like Ice Climbers, Falco, or Diddy Kong, have an advantage on FD, but others (Zero Suit Samus, Squirtle, Metaknight) don't do as well. I also would have liked a more ambitious ranking system.

Overall though, 9/10. It's shaping up nicely. I just wish it was "winter 2014" already.

But there were very good news, some needed info, the freaking online ideas were brilliant, the little info on custom moves makes me want more of the direct (which it's an annoying move), and the returning characters + different forms of character addition were great. Only one character reveal was dissapointing, but the big amount of items+stages+character improvements and additions reveals made up on the let downs I had!
