3DS News: March 19, 2014

Global Numbers are in for the first full week of March. Except for the Vita and South Park, it was a generally bad week for gaming hardware and software respectively. That said, the 3DS only declined about 5%, to about 117,000 units, compared to the overall 9% drop. That said, 3DS software plummeted 29%, thanks largely to last week being the debut week for the latest Harvest Moon in Japan. The leading 3DS game this week was, as per default, Pokemon X/Y, coming in at #9. Other notable 3DS games this week included Japan-only games like Yokai Watch, Harvest Moon, and Dragon Quest Monsters 2, the last of which just reached 700,000 sales. Expect generally slow sales until Yoshi's New Island numbers are out for the West and Marioo Party is out in Japan.
