With the new update, the old 3DS models (3DS, 3DS XL and 2DS) will get amiibo support.

That means that the Amiibo peripheral will be released soon!

People were expecting one in Feb too. I'd love for there to be one ASAP, but I don't see any evidence right now that one is imminent.

If that release schedule is accurate; then it seems as though May/June should be very good indeed for us Europeans.

Ofcourse; you Americans already have half these games but let us have this one.
