Nintenod Direct would be excellent now. And I bet there will be a Splatoon Direct eventually, but not until after Xenoblade Chronicles X launches in Japan; they will want to keep all the hype on that one game.

I want a new ND too, but if there's nothing important coming before Splatoon - and 3DS only has Xenoblade, right? - then i guess they will only make one in April and then E3.

There was a rumour that there would be one soon.
It seems that Nintendo had a press event where they showed off Splatoon and the guy that started the rumour said that sometimes they have a ND after those press events.
