I think something went a bit unnoticed during the Gameawards.
While Miyamoto was introducing Mario Maker, Miyamoto mentioned the 30th birthday of Mario.

With all the attention Luigi got last year, it's only fait to give Mario some deserved limelight.

Mario Maker seems to be a good way to celebrate Mario, but could we see something else? New Mario game or even remakes?
Would be cool to see a Mario anniversary that brings back the best levels and worlds from past games.
For example a compilation game - or two that compilates all 2D levels/worlds from the old and New Mario games and 3D levels/worlds for a 3D game. With the ability to play them in the original or recriated form!

And that alone would be great! Specially if they revamped the graphics and allowed gamers to play them just with the gamepad.

I don't think Nintendo will remake neither of the Galaxy games, at least not this gen.

So far they have only done 1 console remake and they chose Wind Waker from the GameCube (so 2 gens ago). All the other remakes have been from console to handheld and, except for the Xenoblade one, there has also been more that a gen between the console game and the port.

No, I don't think we'll see a remake of a Galaxy gane anytime soon... which pleases me because the 3D Mario team already did 3D World (a somewhat port of 3D Land) and have experience with the console, therefore they don't need a(nother) remake like the Zelda team to create a fully new 3D Mario game that wows us.

Nintendo news of 07/12/2014: I'll do it earlier tomorrow, I swear.

  • Renegade Kid's newest game, Xeodrifter, get's a trailer!
  • Take a look at the new and sexy GC controllers... Except DK's... Kinda looks like poop.
  • The New 3DS allows you to upload (3D) videos directly to Youtube!
  • For some time now, "new" images and information about Splatoon have been released weekly. Soooo... Weekly Splatoon news?
  • Digital Foundry Vs. Super Smash Bros. 4 Wii U and 3DS!
  • The GameCube adapter may be discontinued... BUT!
  • Remember when 3 Amiibos were "discontinued"? Well, Nintendo's David Young is now denying that! The problem is, I guess, that demand is too high to cover on some Amiibos. So they focused on making a lot of the popular ones (Mario, Pikachu, etc), and focused less on the non-popular (Wii Fit Trainer). That makes not too much sense, though.


Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

So I was looking at the VGchartz sales data, and according to Chartz, 140K Wii Us sold on Black Friday were not SM3DW or MK8 bundles.

Or Smash...So...something's wrong.
