Did they show gameplay? I saw in engine technology stuff (showing off how many enemies could be rendered etc), but not actual game play.
At the end of the day though, if they get a decent engine on 3DS, it does at least mean some other studios might take the time to make some full fledged games with it.

If Ironfall was a Vita game the 60fps would be nice, but the lack of detail in the environments and lack of geometry would be noticible and it would be nothing special. I hope Ironfall is compatible with the 2nd analogue stick on 3DS because as much as I tolerated 1 analogue for TPS/FPS during the Dreamcast days, this is now 2013 not 1999. |
Circle Pad Pro compatabillity confirmed.

Borderlands 2 Phantasy Star Zero Freedom Wars Under My Dead Body Gravity Rush 2 Minecraft (judging by lack of info) Vita Pets Soul Sacrifice Delta Project J Star Sword Art Online FFXHD western release There are plenty more multiplform titles like flick, Maiden warrior etc Obviously theres a shit ton of Indie games, but on the western side of things there arent any AAA exclusives apart from gravity rush and that hasnt even been confirmed for 2014, but the Vitas success at this point lays in japan. |
Football Manager 2014 Classic also has a lot of potential. It's the first time there has been a full fledged portable release of the game (it's fully compatible with the PC/Mac version and features the full 3D Match Engine unlike the previous PSP and current iOS/Android versions).
It's definitely one to watch, the problem is it would actually require Sony to pull their finger out and market it otherwise people will assume it's just the same as the iOS version.
MohammadBadir: Thanks for confirming that. Regardless of how the game turns out I think I'll pick it up purely for the tech perspective.

But you get to see Yuna as a pop star rather than a boring shit summoner.
What's not awesome about that?

FFX-2 gets a lot of flack from folks in these forums but I always found it to be quite decent. It is a much better sequel than XIII-2, as it stays connected with the original game's story as opposed to retconning it.
FFX-2 has a faster paced turnbased system, and probably the smoothest and most fun "job class system". You can turn off the transformation intros if they really bug you, me , i'm a sucker for Henshins lol :P
The Characters? they are probably the weakest links here. Not in development but in dialogue. Most Rikku's super girly nature cheapens the affair entirely. Luckily Payne represents testosterone in this party. Yuna's promotion from Summoner to all around beacon of hope for the people is an interesting one. Lenne and Shuyin's story is also quite poetic.
The story is actually quite profound. Deals a lot with the Fayths as well as the Origins of Sin from the first game. It gives a lot of ode to old characters and plotlines.
It has a plethora of cool sidemissions and mini games to play. The onle game in the series close to the amount of "extra" you can do in it is FFVII due to the Gold Saucer. Many plot based side missions to flesh out the story even more.
So I don't know if you played it or not, or even if you did. Everyone should give the game another chance.
And don't forget. One of the best Theme Songs(and moment) in the series....

i did enjoy the OST and the gameplay. The story was so-so. it was good but not compellingly told, and the game has a gallore of silly mini-games that range on the ridiculous and are just awfull. I'll prefer to play FFX by itself. might get FFX-2 later if it gets a good sale or something.

I haven't actually played it yet, but judging by the opening, I think I'll have to agree with you.
