Oh ya we should all support Ubisoft, because Ubisoft as been so good to us WiiU Owners.

1. Cancellation of ZombiU 2 which would of benefited of lower development cost and bigger WiiU installed base.
2. Delaying Rayman legends.
3. This game will be discounted by december, why waste our money getting it at launch.
4. Ubisoft is a corporation they only support console that bring in greater profit, customer loyalty and brand integrity come after profit.

I dipped into the franchise with AC3 and couldn't be arsed to finish it. I think I'll stick to the Ubisoft games worth playing.

I never bought AC2 because I was scared that I would'nt be able to enjoy it because of the fact that I've never playe the first game.
Then I never bought AC3 for the same reason, I was afraid I would be lost in this last chapter of the trilogie.

Should I buy AC4 despite it being my first AC game?

The though is good, but I supported them with Splinter Cell, and now I am supporting Warner (Batman: Akham Origins) and Activision (Call of Duty: Ghosts), besides I am not into that franchise. Watch_dogs was the game I was going to support from them, but with the delay I am looking into Deus Ex, or Rayman Legends.
