The PlayStation 4 version of PlanetSide 2 won't be available until early next year, said Sony Online Entertainment's John Smedley in an interview with Bloomberg West.

The publisher announced shortly before E3 2013 that it was bringing both PlanetSide 2 and DC Universe Online to PS4 this year. The latter title will be released in time for the console's North American launch on Nov. 15, said Smedley. Since both games are free-to-play titles, they won't require a PlayStation Plus subscription on PS4.

It's a f2p game that was confirmed for launch WINDOW. Never confirmed for 2013 launch release.

I see it as a good thing. It would get lost in all the other shooters releasing this year. 2014 looking great for ps4 exclusives now.

I was looking forward to playing this on consoles, It actually looks really good for a F2p. I would be disappointed if was getting a PS4 at launch. Glad I decided to wait a little.

Shame cause I really want to play that game. I think it was at least rumoured to be a launch title around E3. But iirc we knew it's not a launch title for some time now.

Why do people keep saying this and Infamous and Octodad were delayed? Sony never said they were launch DAY games just launch WINDOW.

Yet their target was to launch it in 2013 as they hoped otherwise they would from start say it would be in 2014... Something is odd.

People have three shooters for launch, plus this one wasn't promised for launch, so... things stay the same.
