Sounds about right to me, Sony said they plan on shipping 5 million by March 31 and I assume Microsoft will try matching them

IMO there is pent up demand from this gen being so long. XB1's and PS4's will pretty much be sold out till 2015. Unless MS and/or Sony can ramp up production alot.

Oh I know but I am not going to let that stop me from giving my opinion.
You should have seen the hate I got for saying the X1 pics of BF4 looked better than PS4.
Not a day later DF admitted the shots were blurry on PS4 as I suggested proving me right, but of course saying it made me a MS fanboy living in denial and being defensive. Which of course is what the people arguing with me were doing. they could accept that I didnt see things they way they did and had to prove me wrong or change what I said to have a valid argument. they came off as exactly what they were calling me
Isn't MS aiming for 7m in their FY (which ends in June)
10m combined sounds doable.

Yea fanboys are pretty lame. If they truely cared about how sharp the grass looks, they would leave console gaming and invest in a gaming pc. but both sony/ms fanboys picked there favorite unicorns and will argue till the next litter of unicorns come about.:).
Xbox One and PS4 should be on pretty even ground until next February when the PS4 is released in Japan.
PS4 will dominate Japan. Xbox One will dominate Brazil, not sure about the rest of South America. There will be a 50/50 Split in the US and Europe during the launch window, but as time goes on the sales will trend toward the PS4 in these regions due to its lower price point.
I will likely be getting both consoles next year, but I'm one of those rare people that care about games. When a console has enough games that I like I will buy. Nothing at launch to justify the purchase of either console for me (GTA V helped me realize that I don't need to make the investment yet)
