I like how after the fifth game you just gave up explaining thing and then merely listed them xD

I liked it better, because I'm lazy :D

Seriously though, they deserve their place, but I didn't feel for explaining it. They are there mostly for the same reasons as the ones over, just not being as good as them.

Can't agree with Super Mario Galaxy 2. I've always felt the second game is totally overrated, as in, is essencially the same game as the first one. (You can argue that the game deserves the same score because of that, but I'd prefer if they have gone using the New Super Luigi U route).

Can't argue with the rest of your choices, though :D

You are probablyright, but I actually ended up playing the second one before the first one. The second one is similar in any way, but they have perfected everything. So I actually got the opposite experience.

Never had a Wii.

I love that MGS4 is number one on your list. I remember IGN did a list of TOP 25 games on playstation 3 and MGS4 was NOT on it. One of the most disrespectful disgraceful things ever. Really? There 25 games better than MGS4 this gen?! PSSSSSSSF!!! Gimme a break! haha

Pretty solid list. I wont name my top ten as I just did it a few days ago on Jaywoods thread. I will name my number 1 though and it was Demon Souls

That's pretty ironic considering they've given it a perfect score of 10/10 I guess some editors strongly disagreed with the reviwer. But yeah It's definitely my favorite game this gen because first it was a great game in its own right, and second, I'm a huge fan of the series. The original Metal Gear Solid is my all time favorite video game as well :)

Although I definitely agree that MGS4 was a 10 I can seee someone thinking its a 9 or 8.5. That's one thing. But 25 games being better is just flat out ridiculous. Especially since you gave it a fricking ten. Kinda undermines the credibility and worth of ur ratings system.

These threads always come up in regular intervals but in between that time I always forgot a title or two.

1. Oblivion
2. Skyrim
3. Dark Souls
4. Demon Souls
5. RDR
6. Dragon Age

Errr... NBA 2K11?! That is ridiculous, sorry to say.
I have reservations on God of war 3 and Uncharted 2 in comparison with their sequals.

I would love to make a top 10 list, but its far too early. The generation is still gonna last a couple more years and theres games i'm looking forward to next year and others from this year i havent played yet.

I could say some of the game that would probably be there. Mass Effect 2, Fallout 3, Tales of Vesperia, Nier.

1. Battlefield: Bad Company 2

2. Borderlands 2

3. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1

4. Resistance 1

5. The Last of Us

8. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow

9. Gravity Rush

10. Trials Evolution

11. Uncharted 2

Ummm...the greatest sports game of the generation being on a end of the generation list is ridiculous? Even if you don't like sports or sports games objectively you have to marvel at the attention to detail and the labour of love for digitally recreating basketball as faithfully as humanely possible NBA 2K11 and so on are...

In all honesty your post is the ridiculous one good sir....

Oh really? Why dont you tell us how the gameplay improved compared to the past generation. How engaging the setting is, how inspiring the score is, how griping the storyline and the characters were.

No, a sports game is far from beeing digital art. Improved graphics dont make a good game.
