Jesus people, I did not say first party support overall, just SCEA, cause Bend was America's dedicated Sony handheld developer, but I think (hope?) they have something up their sleeve for the Vita.

On the other hand it's been 2 years since Uncharted GA and no word of another game, so a PS4 project makes sense. They would say something about a Vita game, it's not like they have something to brag about for the platform.



So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Soul Sacrifice is a first party game?  Never heard of Feedom Wars or Over My Dead Body 2.

Yeah, Sony Japan makes it. Freedom Wars is another game Sony Japan is currently working on, though I don't know/remember if they gave any more info after the initial trailer from a few months ago. I think I stopped caring because I heard something about it not getting localized.

Not sure WTF the third one is though.

I guess its a new IP. Sony is encouraging to develop new IPs. Yeah. Now syphon philter will be risky. Sony bend new IP is a good probability.

Didn't bend make Uncharted GA? Maybe they are making Uncharted 4 and not Naughty dog. Also Sony said Sony bend were working on a vita game aswell.

Well I wasn't quoting you, but the KH guy...

BEND was never a dedicated handheld developer... They made few portable games, but what made BEND great were the Syphon Filter games on original PS. If someone deserves a shot at something new for home consoles it's for sure BEND.

Well since PSP released they were working only on handhelds, didn't they? Maybe porting their games from PSP to PS2, I don't remember. Sounds pretty dedicated to handhelds to me.

Good, I rather like to see more PS4 as Vita games since I will probably never own a Vita. I even like it but I just have no usage for it.

Bend are only a ~ 60 person team. That's enough for handheld games; but they'd struggle to make an AAA console title with that amount of people.

Strikes me as a strange decision. They might just be assisting Naughty Dog with a PS4 project in the same way that Guerilla Cambridge will have been assisting the main GG team with Killzone Shadowfall.

Unless they're rapidly expanding, of course, but they'd still need to about double their team.
