Nintendo Land has no appeal for the public. It's just childish, the name alone is turning away people.

Wii Sport was interesting for everyone. A minigame compilation sounding like Diisneyland was an horrible idea for trying to sell the console.

Still doesn't sound like you have played with the game enough to warrant an actual judgement; except for the fact that you just hate the concept!!!

I for one found NL quite entertaining especially with other people.  They dropped the ball by not including online...but hoping IF there is a sequel they would correct it.  I loved Mario Chase, Pikmin was ok, Luigi's mansion was a blast!!! I didn't care to much for Metroid blast, but I loved the Zelda theme!!! Anyways the game was well recieved by critics so it would have been a worthwhile game as a freebie:

it can't be that horrible now to not be a freebie can it?

I think its more of an admission that the Wii U gamepad and the casual market that made the Wii popular are both on the decline/already dead. Lets recap.

Ditching NintendoLand in favor of Mario and Luigi
Game and Wario, game that showcases the gamepad well... flop
Wii U Party, abysmal reviews, almost no advertising from Nintendo, delayed the 3DS version to not outshine it
Wii Fit U, comes out next week, no advertising
Just Dance 2014 (pretty much all ubisoft casual games ...JDK, Rabbids Land, ESPN Sports Connection, Your Shape etc, ), all former shadows of themselves

It could be related to the systems ultra-low, PSV type hardware sales!!!  None of the hardcore games have sold any better either.  I seriously think that once people try Nintendo Land (funny there isn't a demo for the game for people to try on the stations) they would understand the Wii U better.

Wii fit U comes out in December not next week, only Japan is getting it next week and advertisement is present for the game

bet with ash3336 he wins if Super Mario 3D World sells less than Mario Sunshine during the first three years, I win if 3D World outsells Sunshine's first 3 years. Loser get sig controlled for 3 months (punishment might change)

Do you doubt the WiiU? Do you believe that it won't match the GC?

Then come and accept this bet

I did not play it and I am not interested about it.

I am not even talking about the quality of the game. The concept of the game is damaging the Wii U reputation and sales. It was the flagship title and it turned into a sale disaster.

The fact is when they were bundle the console still sold crappy. I really don't see how removing or keeping any of them bundled is relevant. The console seem to be selling better without them.

With the price cut I am not surprised they removed the games. They are a business not a charity and if they cut the price after less than a year something must go. Just the way I see it.

hmmm...what's wrong it's a legitimate debate about how Nintendo's marketing blunders things all the time.  This is one of them as giving one software and taking another does not add up to extra value IMHO.  In the case of Wii Party U replacing Nintedo Land as a way to show the systems capablities; that is still up to debate.  For now the best software that Nintendo has to showcase how to differentiate the Wii U from the two more powerful next-gen console IS NintendoLand!!!

well, WW hd bundle was always limited so it doesn't count. and while a mario + nintendoland bundle for $299 would be better, the mario + luigi U is a step above the previous. maybe they will include nintendoland sometime in 2014.

Well first of all, I've seen some stupid coments in here. Mainly at the bottom, second of all Nintendo's not marketing anything on the telly in America, but what you consider a marketing blunder is them taking a seperate approach.

A few of the things in Nintendo Land are a bit gimmicky. Mainly the Octopus and the Fzero thing.

The only thing Nintendo really did is showcase how it can affect core gameplay on a deeper level with the likes of Metroid blast, 3 of the multiplayer tracks were quite samey. Only thing  I really like in it is Pikmin and Takamaru

I hope so as I don't count NLU as a full fledge game...more of a very hefty DLC title.  Yeah maybe that's their plan as removing NL sounds bonkers to me at the moment!!!
