They're the same in terms of hardware, different story when it actually comes to developing the game. The SDK and supported middleware are far better on the PS4. Developers have even said it's 50% faster to work with. I know some people in the industry who have worked on the SDK's and they tell me pretty much the same thing.

i was one of those who bought a GC just for RE4

Hence my belief that getting both will be redundant, unless their exclusives really stand out and diverge. As of now I'm going with the PS4 and Wii U, but I won't rule out the XBO if it has good exclusives. I like the moves MS has been implementing of late.
