I wonder if they're channel stuffing a bit though, went to two Best Buys yesterday and both were fully stocked with the Zelda Wii U bundle and it didn't look they had sold many (and by many I mean none at all, though maybe they sold a few and brought extra units out from the stock room). The 2DS seems to be moving well though and the Pokemon X/Y hardware bundles were completely sold out.

doesn't mean anything remember Spurge's Walmart had 10 wiiu then 2 in the next day? Sales that week in US were around 10-12k soooooooo yeahhhhhh lol. 2DS needs alot more marketing. $129+ Pokemon X Y= Great Time (Kids) SavingMoney (Audults)

The Wii U is the one that needs a lot of marketing, 2DS/3DS seems to be selling alright (it'll never be the DS, but as well as can be expected with a changed marketplace).

Of course WiiU needs life! 3DS is good, im not saying this directly at you but why do people say it'll never be the DS? I mean DS is the fastest selling gaming Handheld/Console ever created. Some people think 3DS is a failure or not up to expectation cuz its not selling near DS levels?
Its like if a football team wins a super bowl with a record of 19-0 then the following year they win again but with 16-3! They still F***ing won lol! Dont knowhy i needed to say that? (not directed at you )
3DS/2DS+WiiU will have a great holiday and next year will be the year of WiiU (like this year was 3DS

Personally judging by its reception I think the Wii U is just another GameCube (more or less) for Nintendo.
Without a new Wiimote like hook to set the market on fire, they've simply reverted back to their old console trend. Outside of Nintendo fans online, I just get zero sense of any enthusiasm for this product within the regular general public, it's the complete inverse of the original Wii.
2DS/3DS being the spiritual successor to the Game Boy/DS lines always came from a higher pedigree even though Nintendo is facing the auxiliary competetion from mobile smart devices, they still have some room to operate there.
