Forums - Sales - Tropical Freeze vs Second Son vs Titan Fall

DK should beat out Infamous pretty easily. Infamous just isn't a big series, and it doesn't have the broad appeal of DK. I think Second Son looks like a very nice addition to the franchise, but I don't see anything besides timing that would really broaden their audience.

Titanfall is kind of a wild card. I like what I've seen from gameplay, but I feel that shooting fans are very reluctant to embrace shooting games that are not grounded in reality. Obviously, Halo and Gears were huge successes, but COD has changed a lot. I'm jut not sure if there is room for another huge FPS series, and I actually think the lack of a single player could deter a good deal of people.

DKC seems likely.

e=mc^2

Gaming on: PS4 Pro, Switch, SNES Mini, Wii U, PC (i5-7400, GTX 1060)

Infamous aint doing n numbers.

Sony added Infamous 2 as one of the free games on PS+ a year after release so I don't think it reached the sales that it could have. Infamous 2 on PS+ wouldn't have got two to three million extra sales, but that does give the series exposure from the two to three million people that were on PS+ through earlier this year.

With the exposure through PS+ and it being one of the very few Playstation exclusives that will be available so close to launch, I think Infamous Second Son will sell atleast four million plus in lifetime sales.  If it's as good as Infamous 2 is then maybe the fanbase will grow.

The good thing about console launches is that there are fewer games out, so it's the best time to release either good games you want noticed or crappy games that you want to make a quick buck off of. There's hardly anything else out because it's the beginning of the consoles life so even poor games get good sales. Why do you think Namco releases a Ridge Racer at every single launch?

Even though it's being released in March instead? A good point.

I think Second Son could potentially be the "Uncharted 2" of the Infamous series. I dont think it will review like UC2 but but it can bring the inFamous series to where it needs to be.

DKWiiU will probably sell the best

When you see that it's launching near the start of the gen, won't have its legs cut off by being free on Plus, and has already had better marketing than the other 2 (don't recall even seeing an ad for Infamous 1) I have to agree.  I think if it reviews well and really shows off the next gen graphics (which it certainly looks to be doing) it could have a reasonably big splash and the usual Sony legs to get to 3-5m
