These games seem to be the big hitting exclusives for each next gen console during Q1 2014. Which will reign surpreme and be the best selling?

For the past 20 years console Donkey Kong has sold pretty consistantly. There were 3 DKC games released on SNES which sold 9.30m, 5.15m, and 3.51m which averages about 6m on an install base of 49m. DK64 did 5.27 on an install base of 33m and DKC Returns did 6.01m on an install base of 100m. So DK does about 5-6m as long as it has an install base of 30m. Based off that even if Wii U only ends up with GC level sales, DK should be able to sell at least 3-4m. Ill go ahead and say Tropical Freeze will sell 4.5-5.5m.

PS3 had 2 Infamous games which sold 2.64m and 1.6m which averages 2.12m each. I think Sony is making a very smart move by pushing Infamous and Killzone as the big exclusives in the launch window since they are both B-tier sellers and doing this could push them up to the A-tier along with God of War and Uncharted. I think Second Son will sell 3.5-4m.

Titan Fall seems like it could replace Gears of War as the number 2 Xbox exclusive behind Halo and all 3 mainline entries sold about 6m. But this game is rumored to be only a timed exclusive and PS4 may get it eventually. Also with this being an EA game, its likely it could turn into an annual franchise which may hurt its sales. I personally think it will stay exclusive for at least a year and a sequel wont come until holiday 2015 so I see this game selling 5-6m.

Titanfall has an advantage of releasing in multiple consoles, are we talking just Xbox One? DKTF will probably sell more than Second Son since Infamous is second rate compared to DK (sales-wise)

Donkey Kong. Let's just say that Wii U fans are going to be hungry for a new game.

From a personal standpoint, I've never played more than a few minutes of an Infamous game (the first one). There was something about them that didn't grab me. Some of that likely comes from the fact that the hero didn't appeal to me. Second Son, however, has me very interested. The gameplay just looks like a blast and I like the story bits I've seen. I think it will easily be the best selling Infamous and reach at least the 3M mark.

Titanfall is tough to call. I don't think it will replace the military shooters as the multi-player of choice. It will do well but it won't be a massive hit. At the same time, I will admit that I'm completely guessing here, as this isn't my kind of game. I'm much, much more hyped about Destiny, which I'm thinking (and hoping) will be a hit.

I'm thinking around 5.5 million for Titanfall, 4.5 for DKC, and 2.5 million for Second Son.

I think Second Son could potentially be the "Uncharted 2" of the Infamous series. I dont think it will review like UC2 but it can bring the inFamous series to where it needs to be.

DKWiiU will probably sell the best

I'll say 5m for Titanfall on X1 (9m on all consoles combined) and 4.5m for DK.

DK, like you said, sells pretty consistently. And Titanfall may be a new IP, but it's from a respected group of devs in regards to FPS's and it has a hell of a lot of hype behind it, so 9m doesn't seem unreasonable to me. I expect that the 360, with it's huge install base, will still make up a large portion of the games sales, as will the PC

Infamous is the only questionable one. It isn't a numbered title and it looks to be quite a change from the first two, so some of the Infamous fanbase might not be getting this one. It is getting a lot of positive feedback, though, and could definitely pull in lot of new people. It could very well be the best selling Infamous. I'll say 3.5m.

On the bright side, you gave ranges, whereas my predictions are at least precise :P

I say Titanfall will 3M on XBO( but have 8M overall)
DKTF will have 4M
I:SS will have 3M.
I'm most unsure of I:SS because the Infamous series has sold decently but not of the level of LBP or Naughty Dog but, then there is the launch drought especially with the lack of new games will drive sales. Also, I'm sure people are expecting I:SS to be on PS Plus not too far down the line
