Forums - Gaming - EA: Sony Executing Exceptionally Well, Microsoft Running into Challenges

That's one of the reasons I'm reluctant (the second being money of course), I just don't play many games at the moment, certainly not enough to justify a purchase like this, I think the last game I completed was TLOU, after that I played some GTA 5 and Fifa and that's it.

I guess if I'll jump it'll be either with the next ND game, Final Fantasy XV (let's hope that won't be a dissapointment like XIII) or Persona 5 (one can dream). Other than that there are a couple games that intrigue me but not enough to make me want to buy a new console for them.

I might sound like crazy but who knows "Persona 5" may be already in development for next gen consoles. Maybe someone is developing and testing the game at atlus. Or someone is brainstorming with developement team to add more content in persona 5. :p :p

Are you implying what I think you are? Don't play with me man :D

I think, PR wise, both companies are killing it. M$ has turned it around, and Sony has been smooth sailing (with the exception of the driveclub delay) since e3. it's gonna be a crazy launch

You know the verb tenses make a big difference. Sony is executing well, nobody will challenge that. But he says MS ran into challenges, in other words in the past. He then said they are Ok now. Therefore, they are not running into challenges now and that verb tense needs to be changed in the title. What the EA rep days is pretty clear so I'm not sure why the title is written like that.

You know what. EA may have scummy business practices, but they still own a lot of IP's I love and still make a lot of games I enjoy, even if they are shifting to mobile more than ever.

Seeing their new relationship with Microsoft kind of bummed me out a bit, because although it wasn't affecting any IP's I care about right now, I figured it had the potential to in the future.

So hearing this is reassuring; even though I'm sure there's little chance of EA abandoning Sony home consoles any time soon.

Yes, it will come down to games. Microsoft's launch lineup is the best ever for any system and next year its going to take things to a new level. Quantum Break, Sunset Overdrive, Fable Legends, Halo, Titanfall, Black Tusk already announced.

Don't want to split hairs, but he says executed, not executing. Past tense. Confirms as much by saying MS are now back on track.

I think he is clearly talking about the announcement period. Ms are in a decent groove now IMO. Decent marketing is hitting, good previews of all the exclusives that are shaping up VERY nicely.

Yah I was thinking the exact same thing after reading it... This title is missleading, EA never said Microsoft was still running into challenges; it actually said quite the opposite. IE: They are back on track.

It is good to have EA observing that too. Pre-order numbers and other indicators are showing that even with a 100$ more pricetag the Xbox One is doing very well :) Happy to see Microsoft off to a good start after the past PR fiasco :)

The article is clearly refferring to the summer just gone. Because Sony have lost steam of late. If anything Microsoft have gained good traction lately. Especially on the games front.

Wallked into GAME today. Now they set up a bit wierdly. They have ONLY Exclusive games on stands near the consoles themselves. Then multiplats all together. Today PS4 literally had 5 rows of Knack and 5 rows of Killzone. All Driveclub has been taken down.

On Xbox One side they have Ryse, Deaad Rising 3, Forza 5, Killer Instinct and Project Spark there on shelves.

Both PS4 and Xbox One multiplats are together. It look prety good for Xbox when your actually in the store to buy. It sticks out as more games.

Good job Microsoft.

They need Repeat this set up, in gamestop, home of the biased gamer. LOL

I can't agree with this when the N64, PS1, and SNES all had better launch line-ups, particluarly when judging variety.

You can also bring up handhelds to really make the point.

Look at how skewed that is. Can't believe you expect anyone to take it serious.
