Edit: I would go for intel processor over AMD, especially core i7 and i5 overclock like beasts.

AMD is better considering his budget, it allows him to dump more coinage into the GPU to net him an overall larger increase in performance.

Go with  that build Bruxel, it's solid.
You could also ditch the SSD and dump that cash into the GPU too, might be able to get a 7850.
Skyrim specifically though, isn't very demanding, so even modded would run fine, provided you don't intend to do 1080P with 16x Anti-Aliasing.

i could save like an extra 50 dollars if I assemble it myself, could use that 50 towards better graphics card.. now that question is it that hard to do? attatching wires to components and all seems tricky

is a heat sink cpu thing worth investing into?

It really isn't difficult.
Besides, you have access to the largest repository of information known to man-kind!

As for the heatsink, only if you plan to overclock. - The Coolermaster Hyper 212+ is great value for a budget heatsink+fan.
Otherwise, don't look past Noctua or thermalright.
You could take it one step farther and go with a closed water loop from the likes of the Corsair Hydro or build a custom water loop like I have.

Get a normal 500 GB HDD (or 1 TB) instead of the 64GB SSD.. But its solid and with the 7790 you can play the games you want great.. Whats the site you are ordering from.. Maybe one of us can get you some better advice..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

Just read your motherboard manual and you'll be okay. It is easy to do, but tiresome.

If you can do this: , you can assemble a PC.

Its a lot of fun to build you own PC
